Took my sweetheart there for her Birthday.We meet Chef Jimmy, that doesn't happen very often.He told us about his menu ,and gave us some suggestions.We had a great meal ,the relish tray,and soup and salad reminds me of the great supper clubs of the 70s. Job well done Chef Jimmy

Chef Jimmy is amazing. My wife's salmon melted in her mouth. My meal was equally great. His homemade pumpkin ice cream is spot on. Best restaurant in the North Woods in my opinion!

Been going to Guide's since late 70's. This was best meal ever and it was sooo good. Appetizer of mushrooms was really special excellent. Chef owner maybe doesn't realize that he has grown in excellence over the years. He has really got it going on now. Each course is very refined not just main course.
Wife had Scallops special, she said it was exceptional.
This is a place that is worth the higher price, a good investment in your quality of life.
Try to get a table with window because the view is unexpectedly cool and actually feel good.

This is an excellent restaurant! The chef is very friendly and stopped by our table twice to see how our meals were. The relish tray was full of crackers, homemade breads and liver pate that was out of this world! The pan fried walleye was the best walleye I’ve ever had. They also serve homemade ice cream. We shared the key lime pie flavor and it did not disappoint. The owner and chef takes great pride in this gem of a restaurant and it surely shows! Would definitely go back in a heartbeat... a wonderful experience!
