Visit for nostalgia and it is double the price from 2010. No longer cash only, portion seems smaller than memory, but still delicious.
Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Ground beef regular burrito (5) is a bit oily but so flavorful! Solid burrito (even if a bit runny) that is mostly just rice and beef. The chips are crunchy and fried well but don't forget to hit the salsa bar!
Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go but the shop was popping
Service: 5/5 - bro was super chill
Value for price: 5/5 - while much pricier than before, it is still comparable to other shops and absolutely delicious

If you want a burrito, there's no reason to go anywhere else. You'll get the best one here.
Not sure what the reviews complaining about being "treated like a white person" are about ... everyone at LB has always been incredibly nice and friendly.
The southside location is the better of the two, in my opinion, but i understand I may be wading into treacherous waters there.
The irony of a taco bell thriving next door to this place is not lost on me.

Wow how does this place have over 4 stars? My bf and I definitely got terrible food poisoning from this place - we’ve been throwing up all day after eating here last night. I think everyone giving it good ratings are just drunk college students who don’t know any better about what good Mexican food is. I mean they microwave their nachos in the plastic to go container - that’s so bad for you and gross!! And before you ask, no, we weren’t drunk and we’re not hung over. This is definitely food poisoning. We had a steak burrito and mango agua Fresca - I actually think it was the agua Fresca that did us in because our friends didn’t get sick but they only drank bottled water. 0/10 do not recommend.

La Burrita is a staple for UC Berkeley students. The burritos are tasty and at $8-11 affordable on a student budget. Additionally, the restaurant is open until 1.30am, perfect for late night study sessions. The staff is friendly and service is fast. There is limited seating.

The best Mexican Food I’ve had in the Bay Area! Their shredded beef, carne asada fries, and homemade salsas are next level. If you like Mexican food you should definitely check them out!

I got a chicken and cheese quesadilla and it was underwhelming for the price I paid. Parts of the quesadilla just didn’t have cheese or meat in it, so for a few bites I was just eating the tortilla itself… :-/
