Macado's

This is a good place to eat, but there are a couple of things that are a bit questionable. It took a while to be seated and even longer for a server to take our order resulting in a pretty long wait time to get started. This was happening while the restaurant wasn't busy, so they appeared a bit understaffed at the night of my visit. Though the menu appears a bit pricey at first glance, the quality and portions of the food are well worth the money (but prepare to have leftovers if you don't have a large appetite). There is also a bar in the restaurant and a jukebox for good music. The staff and service is very friendly and the environment has a safe and welcoming feel to it. The decor seems a bit off the wall, but does so in a way that makes it feel like an interesting, fun place to be. The restaurant contains a small game room for entertainment, but isn't equipped with anything particularly special at the moment. All in all, it's a great place to get a good meal, but sometimes the people at the bar can make things feel a bit strange, and it isn't very fast. Make sure you have plenty of free time before going.

Service is terrible. Nearly always. This is very disappointing as the food isn’t that bad. They have a great selection. That being said I have been served nearly raw wings and somebody else’s soup at least once. Also one time I got brave and ordered a dirty martini; don’t make the same mistake. I think I got a glass of very old olive juice and cheap booze, mostly vermouth. Go there for the beer and the atmosphere, but keep your service and food expectations low.

Outdated restaurant. We visited on a Friday night and there were only a few guests dining. Inside of restaurant was not very clean. Had a nice server who had to continually apologize for the wait to get our food. My husbands sandwich came out much earlier than my order of boneless wings. By the time my food arrived, his food was cold. After food arrived, had to wait for server to bring us napkins or silverware about 5 additional minutes. Overall, very dissappointing visit. Will not return. Sad because we had fond memories of eating at different Macados years ago. Hoping this restaurant has a major management change so that it can be a nice dining option again.

Well, the place obviously has seen better days. Food is ok. Sandwiches are good, but last time I had a salad in there I spent an hour on a toilet. So, food safety and handling is definitely an issue. Music often times is loud and somewhat obnoxious. Service is always kinda slow, so this is not a place where you come for a quick meal. Though one would think it could be a great lunch place, considering the menu. But they really would have to step it up. What else... oh yeah, I don’t know about men’s room, but in lady’s room you’ll need a warm jacket, a hat and some gloves. It’s well below freezing in there. Maybe it was meant that way to sober up some drunk patrons, I don’t know...
