Magu Diner

My partner and I have been fairly regular customers of another establishment not far way from Magu which we've always enjoyed and a great benchmark for us. Nice little bar, great burgers and polite banter from the owner or locals. When we entered we found MAGU were only serving orders via Deliveroo etc (didn't realise they were closed to the public that day which seems odd, but hey ho) but said it was fine for us to sit. Reading some of the reviews below its sad to read of the bad or blunt service. We met Dave who is a character that may irk but we found him to be welcoming and very enthusiastic as we engaged with him about the food and business. If we just sat there, who knows, it could have felt a bit blunt like people have written. The food was outstanding in my opinion, the passionate conversation about what makes a great burger was fun and informative. Definitely worth a visit if you like your burgers and guaranteed to beat any chain restaurant equivalent!

I'd have a great review if it wasn't for the service, each time I've been they've not said a word to me and just looked at me funny, almost as if they're annoyed I've done business with them, always very uncomfortable going in there. Burger is great though, I had the lotus burger the second time and it was amazing, I've only tried one other burger which was nice but i dont remember it being as good as the lotus which I've ordered every time since. They're very greasy, which isn't a bad thing, if it's the type of food you're after. If you can put up with the service it's worth it but definitely ruins the experience even if you're just picking up a takeaway. Edit: I had another flying lotus burger and it was incredible so I've added another star, but just smile guys!

We have regularly ordered food from MAGU over the last few months. Can say they are consistently great. Probably best burgers in Bath. My husband has a beef burger and always loves them. I go for the veggie plant patty which is the best veggie burger I’ve had. They stay together really well and aren’t sloppy. Very very tasty.

One of the best burgers in town for sure. Consistent quality since day one, I've visited them many times. Bit disappointed or rather surprised with an extra charge for having food in, but I guess they must control the crowd due to the limited spaces there. Overall, if you're Burger Lover it's very good place to visit and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. 5⭐ for food quality. Update 😉 Nearly year after I've visited them for the first time, still great food 👍 Only customer service is something needs reviewing... atmosphere there isn't very pleasant even when you just pop in to pick up your take away food. It's not the first time.ive been there this year and we feel sometimes that they're upset that we visited... 🤔 That's nevertheless easy to fix as the food is outstanding 👌

Me and the wife love the burgers, best we've ever had (better than any other in Bath by miles). Keep an eye out for the specials they are superb with the combination of flavours. The Alcoholic milkshakes and slushys are fantastic and a nice add for the adults. Be prepared to wait for your food as it gets busy, it can be up to 40 mins on very busy days, but trust me the flavour sensation of your first bite is worth that wait.
