Excellent, characterful, historic pub with friendly staff. A good selection of interesting, well-kept cask ales. Food-wise, our group tried the pies and were not disappointed. It's CAMRA's Hertfordshire Pub of the Year and I'd say that's well deserved!!
A lovely old style unique pub, with a few little rooms off ,of the main bar area, full of lots of interesting things to look at. There are always at least 7 real ales on at a time. There's a nice beer garden & a room for live music. …
Our go to pub in Baldock. Anywhere from 6-10 Cask ales on at a time, the majority of which are from local breweries. The Sunday roasts are exceptional (booking is needed as they're often fully booked on a Sunday). Lovely big garden and dog friendly too.
Visited today a warm friendly great from the staff an excellent range of drinks
We had some food and can highly recommend the sausages

A fantastic family-friendly find - nice playground fenced in to the side of the beer garden, visible from inside and out, delicious food, friendly staff, and fine cask ales. Adults enjoyed good conversation while the kids tired themselves out playing.
Cozy small pub in baldock, proper old school English feel to it. Love it
