This place was sooooo good! We got the beef bone soup, the kimchi stew with pork, and the hot stone bibimbap. The portions were generous for the price, and all delicious. The broths for both the soup were rich and flavoursome, and all the meat was tender. The kimchi itself was great too. No feedback for the bibimbap as that was perfect. Staff were nice and attentive! I’ll definitely be back!

Really good food and portions for the price, and staff are nice. Only downfall is the atmosphere, very basic compared to some other restaurants in Takapuna at similar price points. However I would still recommend checking The Place out if your looking for a good meal. I suggest the bibimbap either hot or cold :)

We've been coming back here again and again and it never disappoints. Came on a Sunday night, place was packed but luckily we'd booked a table. Got garlic soy fried chicken with extra tteok for the kids. They loved it and said they wanted it every time we came. The adults ordered the oden pot to share which was looking very and warming without being heavy. Also had the pork belly with oyster kimchi -absolutely delicious and worth the splurge. We'll keep coming back. Only reason service didn't get full points is that they were too busy and got a bit confused with a couple of things (and the table was a bit small for our assortment of dishes lol)
