Plumpy's Bbq

Keep trying to give this place a chance but they keep blowing it. Decent food but here are my last four experiences from past to present. 1) Pulled pork sandwich to go (while there, not that busy). 45 minute wait. 2) Pulled more sandwich to go (while there) over 45 minute wait. 3) Regular order, acceptable wait time. 4) Pulled chicken order to go, get home, box of 5 onion rings and 4 shrimp. I was 1 of 2 people in the restaurant. Will drive further to spend my money elsewhere.

The service was fantastic from my server, however I did not see the same from other customers. A server decided to speak to a group that I assume are regulars for the hour I spent there dining. The other server that was behind the counter had to pick up the slack and did a wonderful job. Onto the food. I ordered the chopped BBQ plate with greens and beans. The BBQ was absolutely bland. No sauce on the chopped (which is what I prefer) but there was zero flavor even in the bark. There were two sauces on the table. One was a vinegar sauce, the other a sweet sauce. It was up to the customer to decide. Neither of them struck my fancy. The beans tasted like green bell pepper and again, bland. The turnip greens were decent, but nothing to write home about. The bread included was Texas toast, which I truly enjoy, but was slathered in butter. I would not come back to Plumpy's.

First time visit. Arrived just before 7a and place had a few patrons. Service was fast, coffee was flowing! I had omelet of choice with biscuit and food was great. Omelet was great, not greasy. Dining was comfortable, cool for a already hot summer morning! By the time I left it was slowly filling up around 7:30. I'll definitely go back.
