Pende Cafe

Lovely place to eat and have a coffee. Friendly staff who offer a good table service. A nice variety of food is on offer ranging from a full Scottish breakfast served up to 12.00. There is plenty to choose from the rest of the menu such as homemade soup, salads, jacket potatoes with various fillings, fish and chips, macaroni cheese, steak pie, toasties, freshly made sandwiches etc. There is a good choice of desserts plus all the homemade tray bakes and cakes which are delicious. Good choice of drinks to complement your meal. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a nice place to eat in Arbroath.

This is one of our favourite cafes. The meals are delicious & very reasonably priced. With being on a "diet " I chose a baked potato & beans. I asked if I could maybe have some bacon alongside the beans. The chef took all the fat off bacon & cut it up for me . I thought that was really considerate of her. That's the Pende for you - just like being at home. The soup is amazing so my husband says & plenty of it. The pensioners meals are very popular & they don't skimp just because it's for older folk. You get the same as everyone else & their rice pudding is delicious - so I've heard!!! If you go anywhere in Arbroath don't go past the Pende. You won't be disappointed -promise.

Food was good, friendly staff However... Ordered a irn bru when came on the tin had price mark of 39p. I was giving tin along with glass don't get me wrong but when I asked for Final bill I was charged £1.50 for the irn bru. If a tin or product has a price mark on it you have to charge the customer at that price!. I did get refund back from this matter but kinda put me off.
