Down from Wisconsin visiting family and decided to give this place a try for some southern cooking. Did not disappoint. Had catfish and a whisky burger and everything was homemade and delicious. Cool decor also. My nephew tried sweet tea for the first time and talked about it for days. Unfortunately, they had to close for Covid before we could make it back again. Will be back next time we're in town! Love this place and the name too!

Very good! First clue was how great it smelled outside. Menu options or buffet, and we opted for the latter after laying eyes on it. Tasty deliciousness. Hubby was impressed with the fried chicken (XL sized chicken legs) and the smothered pork chops and lasagna had me torn..so I mmmmed both down. Left room for ice cream (okay, I got a baby cone) and glad we did. Server was great, very friendly. Overall welcoming, comfy place. Looking forward to next visit.

Well worth the 30 min travel to eat here. Best buffet around!! They cook like my Grandmas did. Not only do they have amazing food, but they also help out their community in many ways. Tessa and Rick are great people who are honest and hardworking. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!!

Amazing!! I can't stress this enough huge portions. Great friendly atmosphere. They also serve some spring diper ice cream! They also have a buffet! The fries are hand cut! The ranch seems to be homemade and is very good. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! The sandwich in the picture I think is the rascal is a sandwich with Mac n cheese and pulled pork between two grilled cheese sandwiches. I have also bad a few of the other burger options and you can get pretzel buns!

We gave these guys 5 min heads up that 20 ppl were coming for lunch. Dan was the only server we got and she satisfied all 20 of us! The big tip we left wasnt worth half of the professionalism and great service we received. Loved it! The buffet came out hot and ready and the cooks kept it up strong for our entire stay! Thank you so much, when we come through Alton again we will have another plateful.
