We bought salmon head, shrimps and squid in the fish market. <br/><br/>Gave them to Paluto to make some Sinigang na Ulo ng Salmon, Calamares and Buttered shrimps. The taste were exceptional! The sourness of the Sinigang was no other. The taste was just right.

I just love this place! Love the food! Personally I would recommend this to everyone however if you are inpatient then it’s not your style. I’ve read some comment that it’s quiet hassle to go to the fish market and have it cooked it . Well you are missing the point ! That’s why it’s called paluto! It’s totally worth it .

A la carte is ok but the hassle of buying your own seafood/veggies/meat, having then cleaned (for a fee), queueing up to have them cooked is a tedious process for me. Makes me think if i would want to try it again

a restaurant where you feel unwelcome and underserved. such a shame that this treatment comes from your Kabayans posing as homey restaurant that can cater your seafood and eating delights.

the food was great, but the staff lack manners i was sitting on our chosen table and waiting for my colleagues, while they were buying the seafoods from the market. a group of family, arrived and chose my table, which was technically reserved for our group. the waiters let the family occupy our table without even asking if i am a customer even though i haven't ordered yet. feeling irrelevant and unimportant i had to transfer to another table, and swear to myself never to give any tip. Servers should treat their customers equally with respect.

It’s been highly recommended by friends last night I tried it we bought seafoods and fruits for them to cook and prepare taste is just okay but they should be more transparent to their customers on how they really prepare and cook the items they are bringing there coz the price for their paluto services are okay but the way they portion the serving very questionable. U guys should know better. Don’t fool customers

Had dinner hours ago to celebrate a birthday the place just recommended by a friend and since i like the style of buying ur own seafoods and choosing the way u want ur foods to be cooked I thought sounds good. I bought prawns two big fish squid and fruits for them to cut it since they also offer fruits u buy from outside and cut it there for 5dhs per serving I think. Food is okay taste decent sweet and sour fish squid for calamari and Cajun shrimp. I just notice that the shrimp we brought earlier before it was being cooked and weigh are so different and got smaller I don’t think the big shrimp we brought earlier shrink that small that it looks like a regular shrimp size lol not okay.. and i would like to have an explanation also for the fruits that we brought earlier a sweet melon that’s been cut and been served to us w/c is definitely not the one we bought from the fruits and vegetables market I was so disappointed when we left we went back to the fruits Market to see the difference of the fruit we got there and the one we just bought and made them cut in the restaurant clearly there’s a red flag I ask for a explanation to the manager and had there side but I’m not satisfied.

It was a belly -filling feast . Seafoods were fresh. I personally loved the grilled salmon. It was just cooked into perfection. All dishes were flavorful. Everyone became quite the moment they served the food because we can’t stop devouring what’s on our table. The weather was pleasant for outside seating as we enjoy the view. <br/>The crew were very accommodating and friendly. The service was fast 👍

I would come and eat here every other week if I can. We tried many options, the sweet and spirit fried fish was one of the biggest I have seen in a restaurant and is good for at least 4 people. The seafood platter with shrimps, grab and muscle was fantastic (we got it with the sauce that has thyme in it)<br/>Outdoor seating by the sea is always a lovely option

Since it was cold last night we chose to eat inside the restaurant. The table wasn't clean and ready so we called a staff to clean it. With regards to their food, they put a loooot of oregano on it. We love oregano. But last night was too much. We loved how they cooked the calamares and fish! ❤

Fell in love with this place .As it has a new concept of where you purchase your own fresh fish from the fish market & let these experts have it cook it for you in the sauce of your choice. Just can't get enough .. a must try for every sea food lover.

A bit busy so we waited more than 30min to be seated no issue for that since it’s normal to wait. After we sat down to our assigned table it took so long to prepare our food.First came calamari then sinigang. We remind the staff of our pending orders, take note 3times we follow up and nothing happen! But on the 4th time my friend approach the kitchen area to remind again it’s already 45minutes of waiting only to find out kitchen staff didn’t cook at all and let the food to stay there. It was only shrimp and crabs it could have been prepared in less than 20min not more than 45minutes. Worst is that 5tables who came after us were served first. We were like fool while waiting for nothing. Staffs were lack of initiative, need customer service training but it boils down to incompetent management. Management who are doesn’t care to its staff’s well being. I don’t get the point why running a restaurant with limited number of staffs considering its going to be holiday obviously it will get busy. This is my 4th time to eat here and I’m so disappointed! Not recommended and will never go back again!

Very nice place! You buy the seafood in the market. Then they cook the seafood for you to your liking. The cheapest place to eat lobsters and crabs. I love how they cook the octopus, the crabs and the lobsters. I can't wait to come back. Great view outside.

Ugh, who can resist freshly cooked seafood? This Filipino restaurant has been making noise in the UAE ever since Chef Boy Logro unveiled it. Buy food in the fish market and the chef of the restaurant will cook it for you. Just bring a little bit of patience as waiting might be long because there are literally a lot of customers waiting to be fed! It's sea-side so you'll enjoy quite a beautiful view. <br/><br/>Read our review here: thecityvibesuae.com/post/paluto-restaurant

It was our 1st time to visit this resto and it would have been nice if their servers would welcome people with a smile. Communication among their staff should also be improved. I got really frustrated coz twice we have been told that our group might have to be re-seated to a smaller table since there are only 2 of us sitting at the long table. Truth is, there were 9 of us in the party. The rest were buying in the market, while the my cousin and I were waiting for them. And we already ordered 2 bowls of bulalo as soon as we came so that we get seated immediately. FYI. Before we sat, we have been informed of the rules by 1 of the staff already. And repeating it again and again makes us feel unwelcome. I suggest you learn from the restaurant Dampa. Their staff really knows how to serve and deal with customers.

We’ve been here few months ago and our experience was great with the food & the place itself located at the new fish market in Deira with a great view beside their creek area..Food is fresh as it will be because we just bought those seefood from the market itself and let the restaurant cook it for us that is why it is called "PALUTO" but dont forget to try also their ala carte dishes.Over all eperience from the food, service & ambiance is 9/10..

This resto is blockbuster, you gotta have patience coz of the queue, came here on Eid, on queue for more than 30 mins, foods came an hour later. Was 2 hours late breaking my final fast but worth the wait 👌🏼 we had butter shrimps, calamari, chili crabs & lemon herbs lobsters- a total feast for Eid. Just pls add more ventilation outside and a faster serving maybe-given that there’s volume of people. Overall, we will keep on coming back for another seafood mukbang 😌

Perfect food for everyone. Love the place and love the way they cook our food. We visit the place last 6th Apr with the group of 6 and 1st May with group of 12. We brought fish for sweet and sour, shrimp for sinigang (sour soup) and with sweet spicy, crab for with garlic, spicy, squid for calamares, sheri fish for grilled and lapu-lapu fish head for sinigang (sour soup). For me, the best food are sweet and sour lapu-lapu and sinigang head fish.

If you want to dine within the Waterfront Market area in Deira, you would have limited options to choose from. However, seeing a lot of people lining up to get their freshly bought items cooked as per their preference would surely warrant your curiosity. This would be the case for Paluto Restaurant. We did not purchase anything from the market; thus, we opted for their "à la carte" menu which (by the way) gets you seated instantly. We ordered one order of sinigang na hipon and two orders of their lemongrass "inasal" chicken. The inasal was sold with unlimited rice and drinks. The dishes were delicious. The restaurant is good for larger groups. When visiting the restaurant, please ensure that you have a lot of time to spare and also a lot of patience due to the long cue/s.

We are group of 12 with kids, much better if you come earlier than dinner time because table is subject to availability and first come first served basis. Especially during friday and weekend they are very busy. I suggest to buy first the seafoods you want to be cook from the Fish market and make sure that already cleaned so less time to wait at the que. The food was good we enjoyed it and ambience was great during winter. Hopefully they will have expansion of their property this year! We are looking forward to come back again soon👍😉

The place location is outstanding! It is by the Bay Area in corniche. It was November when we visited and the breeze from the ocean was just amazing and it adds up to whatever meal you are going to have. We tried Fry Medium combo for Aed 89 and it comes with unlimited soda and unlimited rice. (Pinoy tlaga!) their huge bowl of bulalo and sinigang is very affordable which is aed 39 only. We had a great time and enjoyed our food.<br/>The waiters are very knowledgable of their dishes and will help you to get your food done. Also, you have the option to bring your own seafoods and they will cook it for you at aed 25 / kilo. <br/><br/>Maybe the restaurant should consider a mellow music. I guess that is all what I thought that needs improvement. The rest: location, view, set up, value of your money is Superb!! <br/><br/>Special thanks to Christian who catered us so well during our stay. Kudos!

Came to Palutos for a bloggers meet where they are looking to promote a guiness world record attempt to be held on dec 1st 2018. The guiness world record attempt will have close to 27,000 people for a boodle fight of sea food. We had a preview of such a boodle fight where we all stood in line to eat sea food(prawns, mussels & crab - nicely cooked) with rice which was topped with some amazing gravy. Primarily the visitors were Filipino but the gravy was not the usual Filipino food and was very enjoyable. They charge 50 aed per visitor to be included for the event but part of the 50 aed is donated to charity through dubai Islamic. The food is good, the money goes to a good cause & hence this is the right place to be part of a guiness world record attempt. Hope i get to see everyone reading this review on dec 1, 2018.

Found this place on an unplanned visit to the Waterfront Market one Saturday morning.  We waited for it to open at 10am. There was no crowd, the weather was nice, the staff were friendly, the quiet seaside vibe made for a quaint ambience, it would've been a perfect al fresco lunch. Except that their food didn't have the wow factor we were expecting given its prices and the restaurant's claim to be "by Chef Boy Logro".  The taste was acceptable, but we didn't find any tang/zest nor herby taste in their mixed seafood with lemon and herb sauce, their supposed bestseller.  I'm fond of mussels soup and I had expected the classic onion ginger broth with chili leaves.  So I was a bit disappointed when it came with tomatoes and no chili leaves. Well, it could just be that their version of mussels soup did not match my personal preference.  Last but not least, the rice didn't meet our standards either - it wasn't the soft, plump, fragrant, hot off the cooker type that makes for a truly satisfying Filipino meal.  If they improve the food taste and quality, this restaurant would be a very, very great place to go out of our way for.

The food was delicious I recommend everybody to visit paluto and try their foods!<br/><br/>Just want to add one more thing, Ive been in paluto restaurant with 40 pieces of shrimps, after I give them to cook. However after it was cooked it has 25 pieces left. Kindly if any customer visit paluto restaurant should be cautious of how many pieces you give them versus how many you will received after cooking. i couldn't take action at that time because I do respect for chef logro because he was present in his restaurant that moment!<br/><br/>Anyways I enjoy chef logro's company and Trending Pinoy shooting!

Heard about it from a friend and we kind of liked the idea and tried it for ourselves.<br/><br/>-Tedious<br/>First, you'll have to buy your seafood in the waterfront market. Probably a 15-20mins job, depends on when you find what you are looking for immediately.<br/>Second, you will have to have it cleaned. Another 10-15mins depends on the number of people waiting.<br/>Third, bring the cleaned seafood to the receiving counter of paluto and tell them how you would like it to be cooked. Might take 5mins, but for me it took around 20 mins because there's a cue and the progress was quite slow.<br/>Fourth, wait to be seated and wait till it's cooked.<br/><br/>It is quite a long wait honestly and just by thinking about the whole process makes me think not to come back anymore.<br/><br/>-Delicious?<br/>Grilled mussel 6/10<br/>Grilled squid 6/10<br/>Fried calamari 7/10<br/>Mussels in ginger soup 5/10 *too salty<br/><br/>-Ambience<br/>Quite comfortable, no loud/intrusive music.<br/>Waiters/waitresses are good.<br/><br/>-----------<br/><br/>They have their own menu by the way, but i was told it is just limited and available only at specified time.<br/><br/>Won't be coming back for awhile.

An ‘old school’ way of living. Either you go straight to the resto or shop around the fish market area to find the food that they will cook for you is definitely astonishing! About the food, so far, the best seafood restaurant in Dubai. It's delicious and they cook it perfectly. Except for the "rosemary thing" that we don't like. <br/><br/>About the restaurant: It's small especially during summer when no one wants to sit outside. Nothing attractive in the interior. <br/><br/>About the staff: They're not approachable at all. I understand that they're busy as a lot of people coming to the restaurant for the food, but hey we don't deserve your mean face. Also, we waited for 1 and half hour for our food as it was cooked differently. Though the chef apologized for what happened. I just hope it will not happen again to anyone.

This place is next to the fish market.<br/>It is a small place with lots of tables and has outdoor seating, too, with the view of the water.<br/><br/>You have to come up to this podium before entering the place, get your raw seafood weighed in and decide on how you want it cooked.<br/><br/>Food with fresh ingredients always tastes great.<br/><br/>We had pan fried bangus (milk fish), garlic butter peeled shrimps and sauteed squid.<br/>All cooked to perfection. "Paluto" is actually a Filipino term to have a meal cooked for you. So the same concept applies where you can go the market first and buy seafoods and have it cooked for you in the restaurant in whichever way you like. For us, we had fried calamari, crabs and shrimps in butter and garlic and sinigang. And they had it cooked very well and quite fast. Luckily for us, we were able to grab a table before people flocked in. By the time we were leaving, the queue got very long. Because it was a new type of restaurant, people really wanted to try it. Nevertheless, it's a place to recommend!

It was an enticing invitation coming from my Italian colleague to try this. Well in time sine it was my housemate's birthday who is also bragging to try it. Please do not disappoint urself by reading the tips down below.<br/><br/>Paluto resto has to be humane enough to put up their instructions before the line/queue for weiging. Reason-being, we lined up for weighing of seafoods, only to find out that we need to have them cleaned. By the time we came back we needed to line up again. And when we reached that point, the one who was weighing only asked us how we want these?? No flavors recommended as it was shown online. I still have asked. With the expensive fish for exeperiment (55 dhs), after i aked, the weighing guy(no name badge) said, "salt and pepper po."<br/>Then you have to wait to be seated.. SUMMER? NO GOOD COZ U HAVE TO WAIT OUTSIDE.<br/>When we finally gor seated (2 hour journey); the fiah was not in slt and pepper but smothered with some soya seasong. I COOK SO I KNOW THAT THING IS A SHAME FOR HOME COOKING.<br/>Burnt-wasted-good-fish, if u burnt it and try to hide it.<br/>Hi regards to our server Mike he tried his best to accommodate us. The other server even said, we were the only one who commented bad on their grill while i asked her to taste it, and declined.<br/>

Had heard so much about this place and the fresh seafood being served. The location of this place is the fish market so expectations were high but met only halfway. Seating arrangement is quite cramped up but the decor is quite simple yet trendy. Prompt service and courteous staff are definitely the high points of this restaurant. The concept is great where you buy the fish from the market and you give it to the chef and ask them to cook it the way you want it. Downside though is if you visit the restaurant without purchasing the fish then chances are that they will not have the seafood you want from their menu which in a way is ironic as they are located at the fish market. That being said the food is good but there are a lot better options to fresh seafood in dubai.

This is a very good concept specially it’s located in fish market. If you’re not that hungry, you can buy your own seafoods, have it cleaned and send to paluto for cooking and for dining. Price for paluto is affordable. It’s 25 aed per kilo or per dish. And the taste is really good. Just the sauce is already perfect with rice. Don’t miss out their unlimited soda and rice for only 10 aed (very affordable). The ambience of the restaurant is also good. Waiting time for paluto is just fine. We were actually told to wait for 30-40 minutes but it’s surprising that our food arrived in just after 10-15 minutes. Really a must try!!!

Good concept a great value for money they cooked the seafood we bought to the restaurant to perfection the only drawback of the place is that it’s a bit cramped for room and the space outside is not the best choice for the hot climate all in all a must try experience 😝👍👍

Ordered fried fish and the mixed seafood with lemon herb seasoning. We did not get the chance to buy seafood and have it cooked here which was supposed to be the concept of “paluto” hopefully next time. The fish was delicious well cooked to our liking and did not expect that we can eat the whole thing. The mixed seafood did not taste as good though, it seems that the herbs put in were a little too much. Should’ve asked for the garlic butter option instead.<br/><br/>The unlimited rice and soda were a plus. The staff were friendly although they lacked the attentiveness, it was not busy the time we visited the place. Great location, the new fish market is indeed the place to be if you wanna do groceries and have awesome seafood.

We bought the seafoods from the market and have them cooked according to our desire.. though waiting is kinda long but it’s worth it... everything was cooked to perfection except for our grilled fish which was a little bit overcooked... my favorite was the calamari... also you will get unlimited rice and drinks for only AED 10...

The concept of the restaurant is highly Filipino-style where you buy fresh seafoods from the nearby fishmarket (which is cheaper) or you can buy directly from them. They will cook the way you like it at a cost of Dhs25/kg. I strongly recommend that you buy different types of seafoods, so you can taste a variety of cooking style. The dining area is not that wide, but can somehow accommodate a flock of customers. You can choose to dine inside or outside. Mind you, the view outside during nighttime is spectacular, for it is overlooking the sea. Serving of the foods will take about half an hour (depends on how you like them cooked). But it's all worth the wait because they will be delicious! The staffs are very accommodating and helpful. They will even gladly take your group or solo pictures! The only downfall is that they don't accept card payments and don't book for reservations on weekends. I hope very soon the customers can pay with credit cards. Overall, my friends had enjoyed the foods and the service. Thumbs up!<br/><br/>

Food: as expected, it was really good. The calamari was deep fried but still soft and not bubblegum-ish. The shrimp and crab were well flavored and the clam with coconut milk was filipino level spicy only. <br/>Location: a little far than our usual dine out but worthit to visit. Better get a sir inside the resto.

The place is cozy and the people are very warm. A very Filipino hospitality indeed. It was our first time to visit the latest talk of the town restaurant. Make it on late dinner visit to avoid long queue. Staff are accommodating. The ambience is very welcoming. The best seafood served on my table to date which let me decide to pay my second visit. Highly recommended. I cant say anything bad since we were satisfied to the level more than we expected. Cheers!

Fresh experience. Buy your fish, meat or chicken from market and they will cook it for you or you can order from their menu. Good variety of cooking flavors available. Only issue is long waiting on weekends so be prepared for that if you plan for weekend dinner. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Surely coming back to this place again.

I do appreciate such initiative to bring the concept of paluto from the philippines. As i was a frequent diner of dampa in manila, i may have raised the expectation just too high for this offering. <br/>To start with, i hope that they include more variety in terms of how your seafood can be cooked. <br/>Squid or cuttlefish adobo with really dark sauce would be a good addition. <br/>Instead of camaron which uses heavy breading, perhaps they can also include tempura to their prawn preparation. Steaming which isnt only healthier but less complicated should be seriously considered, given the abundance of medium sized lapulapu available.<br/>Their sinigand broth could use more "asim". <br/>Their vinegar dipping sauce can use less sugar and maybe more option for non carbonated drinks to their beverage menu. <br/>May these honest and well-meant suggestions help this resto reach their full potential. 🙂<br/><br/><br/>

Me and my colleagues went there to celebrate her birthday. This was our first time to experience this famous restaurant most especially that i adore Chef Boy Logro. I always watch his shows thru our TFC as a chef wanna be someday 😄😄. Prices are reasonable and food serving time from the moment we ordered was just perfect. Ambiance was amazing and you can feel you are home. Staffs were accomodating and cheerful. Then staff started singing a birthday song for my workmate bringing the complimentary milkshake. Just a suggestion, since you guy are singing a birthday song hopefully next time there’s a candle to blow for birthday celebrants to feel more that it is their day and a more organize and unique way singing a birthday song😊😊. Overall we had a ball with our experience.

Weekend dinner with friends! Ordered inasal, bulalo and huge fish (that is Medium)😂. They offered unlimited rice and soda! Extremely perfect for kabayan's appetite. A bit long wait maybe because the restaurant starts to grow, and getting known but long wait is worth it.

Paluto By Chef Boy Logro<br/><br/>Sounds Tempting and sound delicious, a really must try Restaurant because of Chef Logro Name a famous Celebrity Chef in the Philippines.<br/><br/>We decided to give it a try, the place location is really nice, facing the sea.<br/><br/>We ordered Hoisin chicken BBq, Bulalo and crispy stir fried beef. Bulalo looks pale and when we taste it was really blant, no flavor at all the beef shank was tasteless. hoisin chicken Pinoy Style BBQ? Hoisin is a chinese sauce, how come it become filipino style bbq? It was tasteless. The only food we like is the crispy stir fried beef, compliments to the chef. <br/><br/>We saw one waiter clearing the table and serving guest just wearing shorts, shirts and fliplops.<br/><br/>Overall this restaurant is not worth to visit.

The place is nicely situated in the new deira wharfage and i think it will be nice once all the construction in the area is completed. The service was a bit slow but it was okay. Food is perfect! Highly recommended-whether you opt for the menu or you go and buy your own at the market and ask them to cook it. Price is reasonable.

We tried their a la carte since we're too lazy to go to the market. Food and ambiance was good. Wash rooms were accessible. Prices were reasonable. They don't accept credit cards as of the moment though. But still, we're gonna go back for sure! Nice place!

A hit-and-miss afair (Been here 5x already, all during their soft-opening so it's quite understandable). A new concept of dining experience in AE where you get to pick/buy your own seafoods from the market and have it cooked your way. Cooking charges are reasonable (25AED/kg) but flavors and quality of food prep has still a lot of room for improvement. We'll still be back for sure.

Although the waterfront market is relatively new and considered to be still unknown to most. With no easy public transportation and access and far from any trendy commmercial attraction, when we went on a Sunday evening the restaurant was almost full. So right then we knew that there must be a good reason for those people to dine in.<br/><br/>5 stars because it had all the elements that work for us. <br/>1. Good menu with many options and varieties of meat, chicken and of course seafood in different styles of cooking and sauces.<br/>2. The location is perfect because it is in the market where you can truly trust that your protein and vegetables is fresh.<br/>3. The layout and the setup along with the ambience is friendly, inviting and with very good view.<br/>4. Prices are actually cheap, usually one will associate the word cheap with low quality but in this case we ordered t-bone steak, grilled chicken, mixed seafood for 3 person, 2 seafood noodles, bulalo (beef shanks soup) and with 4 soft drinks and unlimited rice and we paid 400.00 dhs. <br/>5. Service was friendly and staff were well trained and you can see how genuinely they are working hard.<br/>Finally, the cherry on the top you the option where you can buy your meat or seafood from the market and ask them to cook it for you in your preferred and chosen way for only 25.00 per kilo.<br/>I honestly cant think of any other place in dubai that gives all the above points. If someone knows that other restaurant does the same. Please do mention. <br/>Last word for you guys in Paluto, please dont change a thing just open more branches.

<br/>I have been to this restaurant twice in 3 days. That is how much I have fallen inlove with the place. The concept is not very commom here in Dubai which is that customers can buy their own choice of fish or seafood from the market and bring them to Paluto Restaurant for the chefs to cook. You can ask them to cook however you like it, according to what you're craving for at the moment. Paluto is actually the tagalog term for 'to cook or ask to cook'. <br/><br/>The first time we went was at lunch time and we ordered direct from their menu. However the manager gave us a tip to buy and haggle from inside the market. We followed his advice the next time we went (dinnner) and we got overwhelmed by how fresh and wide the seafood choices are. <br/><br/>If you are a seafood lover, then to miss this place would be a mortal sin. I definitely and highly recommend it to my fellow Filipinos who miss the taste of the oceans from home. <br/><br/>The photos I took from both times we went there. We are certainly gonna be regulars to this place. See you again!

Wear loose clothing on your way to this place. You’re welcome 😉

This is a place to try perfect grilled seafood.<br/>Most important thing about this place is its placement, its in the Waterfront fish market. You can buy fresh seafood from the market and they will cook it for you with their special sauces.<br/><br/>Service - Staffs are really friendly and informative. It gets really busy during weekends but the staffs are handling it well.<br/>Food - If you love seafood, you will love this place. Try their lemon and herb sauce.<br/>Price - Reasonable.<br/>Hope they will maintain the good quality food and service.

Staff - accommodating <br/>Food - We simply love the lemon and herb seafood that we ordered when we dine in last dec 30. However when I ordered the same dish for takeaway last january 06, the taste was different. <br/>Place - nice and decent<br/>The concept of "paluto" is really attractive to people who would like to eat fresh seafoods. all you need to do is to buy fresh seafood personally in the wet market then bring it to the restaurant to have it cooked for 25 dhs per kilo fee. I am seeing other nationalities patronizing the restaurant as well. <br/>Payment - cash only
