Ordered their special, Bahubali Thali. It was allowed for 4 adults. We 4 adults and 3 kids had and finished it. 1 more adult can be added. It is nice experience to have it. It has variety of rices, chicken, mutton biriyani, mutton roast, chicken fry, chappathi, parotta, Naan, sambar, rasam, poriyal, banana, curd, grilled fish, etc. All varieties together and quantity wise each item was little and not shareable. But it is a good experience to share little quantity with others. Taste wise can be improve little. Netholi fry and variety rice was not upto the mark.

A week ago, my friends and I had a Bahubali Tali at Ponnusamy Restaurant. There were 6 of us but we could not finish the food. My favorite was the “thairu sadam”and they served a special Nannari Sarbat with Tali. That was very good. Bahubali thali is a dish that everyone should try at least once.

Authentic tamil restaurent with tasty food. We order their Chicken 65, kothu porotta, chicken Lolipop, mutton varutha aracha curry and porotta. Tatse is very nice and good. Masala and other ingredients are used properly. Negative side i felt that, compare to price, qunatity is not their. Or you can say its comparitively expensive. They should add more quantity. And tamil special coffe is not their menu. They should add this too.

Look at this chicken it’s fried in very old used oil I recommend don’t eat their food . First of all food was delayed by 1 hr then it’s a dirty packing . Package was dirty . Be careful eagling their food .

Worst chicken briyani which i never had in my life, They served something else in the name of briyani worst forever the chicken was fried until it turns into black. I'm regular customer there i know they are expensive but the taste was fine before. Now it's totally dam waste no cleanliness. My friend ordered a Veg Meal the rice was cooked like pongal, Rice Papad turned as rubber Papad and we found a hair in beetroot poriyal. I will never visit again to this place.

Fine chettinad restuarent, We were planning to taste ponnuswamy restuarent past 6 month, but we didn't got a chance, Finally the day we passed the hotel through, Its very spacious and fine dinning restuarent, staffs are very professional and kind with their customer, more attentive, Order served on timebin due course, Taste wise it scores 4 🌟, Only the price...... Recently I tried ponnuswamy restaurant in qusais their bahubali thali with my family and It was a an amazing experience and a thali cost aed 125. There were fifty varieties of veg and non veg totally. They serve bahubali thali only on weekdays but the staffs were kind enough to serve us on weekend (we booked it on weekend)

Ordered a take away since I was carving for some Chennai type Biriyani. All the way from Ajman to Qusais for a Biriyani & regret it couldn't meet my expectation. The chickens in the Biriyani didnt have masala in it and so blunt it was, on the other side Mutton Biriyani was spiced up more with the muttons were not fully cooked. Chicken 65 was over cooked with some tangy flavor. Not worth the money spent and bit expensive for the quantity and packing.

One of the regular visitor of Ponnusamy in Tamil Nadu and the Ghusais branch. There is no connection or resemblance to the taste with the original restaurant in India Took my friends (for them it’s first time). Ordered for 3 combo and 2 veg meals. As a starter, the waiters are promoted a tandoori fish as today’s favorite. We asked for 1, but they said the size is small so ordered 2. Poor fish..and Poor us....they killed the fish once again (during cooking).....I never had a worst fish in my life...the chef need to learn what is tandoori...this is completely charred...very dry and no flavour...their deep fried fish is much better...because seeing this one, you will start hating fish...(genuine advice this place is not for tandoori) The mutton masala given with the combo is bad and doesn’t look fresh...needs serious improvement I won’t recommend this outlet to any other friends.... Need to work in the taste else you will lose traditional customers Pointed out this even at the outlet...

We came as a large group and ate till we couldn't eat anymore. The food is flavourful but a bit spicy for my liking. Since we were there for dinner we started off with some mutton leg soup - it was a pass for me. The chicken corn soup was very tasty. We also had some fried fish and fried prawns. The fried prawns were delicious! For our main course we tried the idiyapam and roti with butter chicken and chettinad chili chicken. Absolutely enjoyed the chilli chicken. The roti was also very soft. Definitely enjoyed the food here, but there wasn't really anything to set it apart from other restaurants with the same cuisine. A stand out was the chettinad chili chicken. The kids enjoyed the little rides in the front so that was a plus. Not sure if I'll be back, but it's a good place to entertain family from out of town on a budget.

Biryani is decent but is not dum biryani. Kothu parota is nice. Dosa is bad. Pepper Chicken was average and fish items were below average. Stick to standard item like biryani or parota or omelette. Taste -3/5; Ambience-3/5; cost -2/5; staff-2/5; overall Value-2.5/5; Ponnusamy is such a well known brand in Tamil Nadu. However the Qusais branch is a bit of disappoint here as I have visited more than 5-6 times and ordered delivery few times. Food served here was decent till early 2015. After that can see a big decline in food quality and especially staff service. I don't go there or order anymore. 😀 Went there recently as my cousin visited from Saudi and he wanted to give a try. Service still need lot of improvement. The guy at reception did not even care to talk to us when I tried to explain about service improvement and was chatting to someone on phone. Food was average as expected.

Visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon as I was craving for the briyani and parotta combo. This platter had all my favorites - briyani, parotta, chicken 65, curdrice, drink and two curries. We are ordering foods Past three years, they have not changed side dish for non veg thali. If you order mutton thali Same motton pepper or Chicken pepper fry or lady fish fry. Even they didn't changed the method of preparation. I am wondering why they are not changing the dishes, feeling very boring. Most important thing that always they used to served sambar a very little quantity for all four family members despite their charges of the food prices are so high. I never seen in uae any restaurant like ponnusamy who are saving money to reduce the quantity of sambar. If they consider above things infuture, i can happy to rate as 5 star. But one thing i should say that the chicken lolly pop taste is amazing.

After a long time we decided to have our southindian meal n came over with friends. We were absolutely disappointed with the thaali taste. Basic sambar n rasam was also tasteless n wasnt having the authentic touch. Service was very prompt & Good n i should mention it here. Not too happy with the service. Went for dine in n ordered for mutton meal and pulao. The mutton meal was served but had to ask n wait for additional things which was disappointing coz for meals most of the restaurants are active and ensure customer doesnt have to wait n ask for things. The pulao was not great either. No salt in food and was now how a pulao should be. We asked cashier to whom can we give feedback the said the manager is in sharjah. It seems he was not very comfortable with english too which makes it language barrier for a lot of people who love south food but dont know the language. The quality and service needs real improvement.

Last Friday I visited this restaurant for lunch. I ordered non veg thali and chicken biryani. It was such a waste of money and time... Meals are tasteless... We went here for a weekend dinner. Ordered chicken lollipop as starter. It was good with an Indian taste of ginger and cumin seeds in it. Then we ordered chicken 65 biriyani and mutton biriyani. Both of those were really good and the gravy that came along went well with it. We also ordered porotta which was normal like from any other restaurants. Would have favored it to be a little more crispier. Chicken chettinad curry was above average. Staff was attentive and friendly. Overall experience was good and would surely like to visit here again.

Coming into the restaurant I was really amazed with the setting off it . The rate of the service was moderate. The food was extremely spicy and oily. The only good part of the experience was the cola which was on the table with the water. The onion uttapam was lovely, soft and crunchy which was perfect. I personally did not enjoy the experience a lot but would be willing to give it another try.

Comparatively non-veg items are tastier and thus literally everyone have to care for others while sharing it.The fried kingfish served to us was literally not edible. Prawns dish was the best among the dishes. This thali is perfect for a group of 4 non veg and one vegetarian. The sweet boondi and gulab jamun were excellent.

Please dont go to these restaurants. I ordered Combos 3 Qty today. After the food myself and my wife had gulab jamun at the end i felt some smelly by that time i have completely eaten. When my daughter opened the 3rd jamoon she saw somethjng black color and brought to me, when i closely saw it was fungus and having bad smell. But later when i called these people they were talking to me like they are unknown about this. Please i pray dont entertain these type of ediots and avoid going to these type of restaurants. If something happen to my family i will definitely put them all in Jail.

It seems to be parcel was fell down Curry box containers and white raise all are partially mixed and containers had crack and curry liquid found in the carry bag. and 2 hours and 15 minutes to take delivery.

I was craving for a Typical South Indian Meal and we headed here. The place is small but the food is good. Ordered Chicken Lollypop Aloo Gobi Fry Fish Curry meal is worth the try.

Not worth the hype!! Poor service accompanied with high price makes this place a one time restaurant!! Porotta could be a little bit bigger for the price charged (2.75/pc). Could have shown some justice to the quantity served against price charged.
