Milk cake fix!! Love everything at this place. Located at city walk. This place is soo soo good. They got me addicted to variety of milk cakes they create. Too many options got me confused. I always go there when i Crave good Milkcake. Nothing goes wrong here. Go for it. My fav is nutella and strawberry

We have arrived at the best coffee place in Dubai- at least in our humble opinion. All across the Emirates, it has a reputation for serving crazy-good coffee, which explains why people travel long distances just to have a taste.  Their coffee is known to have a good body and a toned down acidity which makes them pretty sweet. Rue71 serves a single El Salvadorian coffee- giving you a taste of Central America’s best, which has proven to be a hit in the Middle East as well.

Ordered a white chocolate lavender milk cake last night<br/>I was excited to try their famous milk cakes.<br/>Honestly for a person who loves sugar and sweets, this was way too rich and sweet for me.<br/>I had about 3 bites and couldn't eat anymore, which is great for my waistline.<br/>I hope their other milk cakes are a bit less sweet than the one I chose.

Came here post dinner for dessert and coffee with a few friends. I had the pistachio latte which was good but very sweet even after I had asked them to make it less sweet (it didn’t seem like they lessoned the syrup even though I had requested but I didn’t bother having them remake it). We tried a few desserts....the brownie cake with vanilla ice cream which was okay, the molten chocolate fondant which was my favorite, and lastly the chocolate and Nutella milk cake which was also very good. Service was okay, it seemed like everyone was tired and distracted. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves coffee and desserts!

What a cute lovely cafe.<br/>The chocolate milk cake is the best thing I have had in a while so nice and creamy. The coconut flavour is lovely.<br/>And also I am never eating kale salad from any other restaurant because this was lovely.<br/>The salad dressing was the best . If only I could have the recipe .<br/>And the various flavoured lattes good idea for those who don't really like the strong coffee.<br/>The staff is also amazing and very attentive.

I was in the area waiting to go to my next client so thought I’d grab a cup of coffee. I was a little intimidated at first because of the area, but that vanished as soon as I walked into this place, friendly, big smiles and all rounds welcoming. <br/>I decided on a cup of tea because they had such a wide variety of different teas I just had to. And then their milk cakes caught my eye, so I did it, I ordered their cinnamon milk cake and boy was it worth it ❤️ I will most definitely be back with family and friends, based on the customer service and the food.

I came to this restaurant to try their signature coffee and dishes. I tried the red velvet latte and it was really good. I tried as well two dishes; the molten chocolate cake and the raffaello milk cake. Both were delicious. It has a friendly environment and the interior looks nice. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I’d come again for sure.

Really wanted to try this place. Called to ask till what time they serve breakfast, and they said till 2 pm. We arrived at 1:45, and we were received by an extremely rude manager who wouldn't serve us, saying it's only till 1:30. We said that we came based on what they told us over the phone. Still, not the slightest apology, and not the slightest attempt to fix their mistake. If this is the manager, then i wonder how the rest of the staff is. Never coming back.

Lovely restaurant to visit. The menu is very light and has a great healthy food section. Their speciality is tea and desserts however their breakfast menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I really enjoyed the quinoa salad it was well seasoned and crunchy. The burrata was fresh and paired well with a balsamic dressing. For dessert we chose the saffron tres leches cake which was absolutely divine. Its very rich so best pair it with a signature tea or a coffee

They are known for their milk cake ( aka London cake) and for a good reason. I have had milk cake in many restaurants and whenever I eat and can't help but campsite it the milk in rue 71. as it is the  best that i have had so far. I tried their lavender milk cake, it certainly have a unique flavor and if you like lavender then you will like this cake. They also have red velvet milk cake it is velvety and too sweet to my taste. The best milk is the classical milk cake, it pure pleasure to eat it. Other then milk cake they have different type of sweet and they are nice to look at and it taste as good. I tried almost all kind of coffee in the restaurant from cold to hot to plain to flavored but it didn't make come to this restaurant to drink coffee. However, this is my personal opinion as my friends and family really like their coffee. they price is really reasonable for what you order and the atmosphere is really relaxing and the service in nice.

A local brand. Rue 71 is a great example of successful Emarati Entrepreneurial skills. ambience is elegant and cozy, good hang out place with friends over coffee and cake. Their milk cakes (lavender white chocolate and original) is A MUST. if you are a coffee-natic (coffee fanatic) then id recommend you try the Syphon coffee, get the barista to prepare it for you on the table (get your cameras ready..its worth it). the baristas are nothing less than passionate and knowledgable on their coffe-mtry (coffee chemistry).<br/> breakfast i would advise management to further work on. my breakfast experience was not as great as it was with the milk cake. <br/>

I've been to Ru71 today. I liked the ambience, it was quite and the service was very good. However I ordered red velvet milk cake which is their best as I heard, it was fine but actually overrated. Also I ordered their iced latte, it tastes like Spanish latte, I liked it👍🏻<br/>So as a summary let's say that:<br/>Ambience: 9/10<br/>Service: 9/10<br/>Red velvet milk cake: 5.5/10<br/>Ru71 iced latte: 7.5/10

I tried the milkcakes with them. It was delicious and also the milkshake is very good. I highly recommend this coffee shop. But there is no parking area around the coffee shop. The staff were friendly and there are too many so we did not wait too long untill we got our order. Best milkcake I had ever try.

Classic milkcake: 3.5/5 pleasant but nothing special.<br/><br/>Saffron milkcake: 4.5/5, it was very delightful with a strong saffron flavour that I loved!<br/><br/>Red velvet latte: 3/5 it tasted like a regular latte but had a slight chemical aftertaste (maybe from the red food dye).<br/><br/>The staff were attentive, quick service, however the seating area inside is quite small and it gets crowded alot. I also wish that they would serve the milk cakes even colder for a more refreshing taste! Hope to visit again soon to try the lavender milkcake.

Such a cute cafe with a parisian vibe. I'm giving a rating of 3.5 instead of a higher rating because I have only tried their red velvet latte which is a bit pricey (a small cup for 29 aed), but such a pleasant change from a regular latte. It was really creamy, yet really light. Definitely should be on everyone's "to try" list.

The place to be, very cosy and well maintained. The good thing about them is that they keep updating there menu, so there is an urge to come back and try whats new. I don't know why the coffee is yummy, but they say it is specialty? I have no idea what is that, but i can feel it is good quality. Overall rue is the place to be for all emaraties.

Overrated is the perfect word to describe Rue 71. Milkcake is a running trend and every place wants to make the best one. This place surely does not. The amount of sugar put in this cake is insane. My friend and I had a toothache after that. The red velvet drink is just no. I love the outdoor seating and the staff but please taste what you put out. That much sugar can kill a man.

Rue 71 Patesserie & Tearoom is a newly opened cafe in the City Walk area. It is a homegrown Emirati based concept serving up coffees, teas, breakfast dishes and desserts. They’ve gained popularity for their milk cakes of which they have a few options. The restaurant can be quite busy in the morning through to early afternoon so book a table if you decide to visit. <br/>Our verdict: It’s a nice enough place for a one-time breakfast, dessert or coffee visit. <br/><br/>We Ordered<br/>Cappuccino: a decent cup of coffee, had a good flavour. However definitely pricier than most places. <br/>Siphon Coffee: The process to get coffee through a siphon coffee maker is quite theatrical in itself. The servers prepared it at our table so witnessing the coffee being made in front of us and the way the filter worked was quite fascinating. The coffee itself was medium-bodied and had a rich aroma and a good flavour, although might be a bit acidic for some.  <br/>Eggs Benedict: A classic breakfast dish, homemade English muffins topped with guacamole, asparagus, poached eggs, beef bacon and their homemade hollandaise sauce. The order was placed requesting to omit the beef bacon which they complied with. The dish itself was alright. Even though the egg preparation was asked to be medium, it was medium well when cut into. And the English muffins were a bit too hard to cut through. <br/>Red Velvet Milk Cake: They have a few milk cake flavours on the menu which was quite appealing. This one was a bit too sweet unfortunately. The overall taste was primarily of condensed milk. There was no underlying hint of chocolate that you would expect from anything that’s ‘red velvet’. <br/>Nutella Milk Cake: Definitely preferred this milk cake to the red velvet, although there wasn’t much of a Nutella flavour going on, it was quite mild. Our dining companions ordered the original milk cake which they said tasted the best from all three, so probably go with that one.<br/><br/>The Venue:<br/>The restaurant definitely has a French/ British cafe feel to it. The pastel blue, copper and gold tones throughout and the patterned floor tiles give it a very European feel. There is outdoor seating as well.  <br/><br/>The Service<br/>The service at Rue 71 was decent. Considering that it is relatively new, it does have room for improvement. When asked about some of the dishes, some servers were quick to respond and provided an explanation right away whereas others had to go and inquire about it. <br/> <br/>How to Get there<br/>Rue 71 is located in the City Walk area, on the other side of City Walk 2 (behind Hub Zero). From Al Wasl Road or Sheikh Zayed road, head towards Al Mustaqabal Street with the first main City Walk suspended circular sign intersection, keep going straight, Rue 71 will be on your right side just before the next right turn.

Their Milk cake by far is the worst milk cake in town. Very sweet and fatty which after taste was too bad and I had to drink something bitter to wash it from my mouth.Their iced latte was more Ice than coffee and milk .we ordered one milk cake ,ice latter and passion fruit mojito we paid 104Aed , didn't worth even 50Aed for all that .usually when you point out to manager regarding your dissatisfaction they offer you a discount or apology but it seems he didn't know anything about management etiquette. Oo I forgot to mention their mojito was too sweet unless my friend asked for less sweetened mojito and when we asked to change it for us cuz its too sweet ,our server offered us to add water into it instead of making a new one !!!

Visited Ru71 today ..it was full and lots of young UAE nationals was having a great time their, my experience was amazing..I liked the Cafe decoration and especially came to try the signature milk cake to be very honset it was amazing and price was affordable compare to other cafe..I have tried pistachio milk cake and Zaffarn milk cake in La villa Ajman and there price was too high. Even tried the cappuccino I liked the amazing test...recommended to try the milk cake.

The cafe is a French inspired patisserie and tearoom. <br/><br/>I had a late breakfast with a friend in this cafe, I had to admit that the food was good. <br/><br/>Though, it was a busy but we had to wait a bit to get indoor table, and the staff were in no rush to move us on from our outside table despite being very busy. <br/>hence if you are planning to go there for breakfast it is better to arrive a bit earlier than usual to avoid the rush specially during weekends. <br/><br/>The breakfast menu offers a great range of choices. The quality of food was top, although my friend asked for medium sunny-side egg and they brought her a runny instead. I've ordered oranger which is mix of orange, grapefruit and ginger, it tasted like a medicine so I asked to change it to orange juice. <br/><br/>Overall a great venue and we will definitely return to.<br/><br/>Order: 1. egg boat ( scrambled egg with mushroom, beef bacon and cheese and salad on the side) was yummy. <br/>2. Full english breakfast ( fried egg, hotdog, beef bacon, hast brown and salad)<br/><br/>Drinks: Orange juice<br/>cafe latte with soya milk <br/>espresso macchiato. <br/>

I visited the place twice. <br/>The place is good for a very early breakfast otherwise it is very crowded. <br/>For breakfast we ordered omelette and avocado Benedict it was good for the drinks we got Iced latte it is really good<br/><br/>another visit was around 12pm and we wanted to get their very well known red velvet milk cake and iced latte, but it was very crowded. but the red velvet was not worth the fuss. <br/><br/>- The service is average <br/>- However if you visit after 10am or after 5pm you won't find a seat indoor or outdoor, and the seating area inside is very small.

The long wait is over,Finally! <br/><br/>Milkcake's are to die for,......specially RED and Classic MILkcake.<br/>We had a shashouka and Breakfast Casserole..and it was amazing and lovely.<br/>The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. The breakfast  was blasts everyone was craving for it.<br/>A  MUST PLACE PATISSERIE TO VIST IN DUBAI! Driving through City Walk I used to notice this French Cafe that attracted my eyes every time and I used to think to myself," One of these days I must try this place". <br/>I tried this place for breakfast this past week and I was really disheartened. We were seated immediately but then it took a very long time for a server to take our order. We ordered the breakfast casserole, side of hash brown, latte and a stuffed hash brown with turkey,bacon and egg. <br/>Let me start with what was good! I liked the latte and that's about it! <br/>Food was brought to our table without any cutlery! I had to ask the server," how do I eat this?" These are basic things every server should be aware of, to put cutlery before food arrives. Then my son's breakfast casserole mentioned in menu that it will be served with sourdough bread. They didn't bring that! When I asked the server she said," let me ask"!! Why do I need to ask for stuff that is already coming with the food, that is mentioned in the menu?!?!? Then they brought the bread but it was brown bread, not sourdough! Bread was brought without any speck of butter!! On top of no cutlery brought before food I had to even ask for salt n pepper! <br/>Now let's discuss quality of food. I was told it was soft opening still which is fine. My server was not even well informed. I asked if this restaurant is a chain from France or a local creation? She had absolutely no idea!!! This is when I later noticed a server talking to someone that it's a local creation and owner was just here but my server was clueless! How weird is that?!? The breakfast casserole that my son had was below average. It looked more like airline food! Had poor presentation. Said it was breakfast casserole then it should have some kind of egg in it but it didn't! It was something that any moms make at home. Sausages, bell peppers cut up, baked with white sauce n cheese!! No egg!! This was still a bit better than what I ordered! <br/>I had ordered this stuffed hash brown. It was a horrible dish! It was supposed to be a big hashbrown stuffed with " three cheese sauce" with bacon n turkey, topped with egg and cheese! When this came to my table the egg-white all around yolk was raw! Raw egg white can make you sick!! I told the server she didn't say any sorry and took it back to kitchen. She brought it back making sure egg white was cooked. Finally I took the first bite. First of all I noticed the potatoes they had used to make the hash brown were sweet!! Then I was waiting n waiting for that three cheese sauce to ooze out but no! There was none!! That just disappointed me right there n right then! I informed the server who then called the manager. The only thing good that happened to me was a very nice manager I got to speak to who took care of me by removing that hash brown from my bill and offering me to take an omelette home. I tried it at home and it was better than rest of the items but I must say this restaurant needs a lot of improvement. Otherwise it'll be very hard for them to compete with the eateries around them and all of them stand out!! Even though it was their soft opening it did not mean that they should have bad menu and bad service. Their menu, even if it is short it should be their best of the best items to attract their guests and make them their permanent customers. Above all their servers should be very efficient and well informed. I am sorry, I am not going back there anytime soon and neither would I recommend this place to anyone!<br/><br/>

Oh my god. I don't understand how this place is popular. The service is horrible, the atmosphere is awful and they have the worst Tres Leches cake I have ever tasted. It was so eggy and dense, the aftertaste lasted for so long I needed to eat something to change the taste. Im only giving it a 2.0 because the snickers cheesecake was yummy.

I like the atmosphere of the coffee specially at this time of the year. I wold like to recommend u you to try their cakes,,, the milk cake is one of the best around the city.. it's well balanced... and the coffee is tasty made with single freshly roasted Beens. Which make the coffee aromatic and delicious

Easy to find as their coffee beans will lead you straight to a seat in Rue 71. <br/><br/>Over a week from its opening, rue 71 is by far the best coffee shop I've attended due to its friendly staff and one of a kind coffee and cakes. Taking into consideration the short-term of serving customers and knowledge about their menu items. <br/><br/>The place has indoor and outdoor seating, the chairs are comfortable, view of the street is nice in the day and better at night. <br/><br/>Colors of the decor are very pleasant and bright, they produce a happy feeling. <br/>The counter is busy with professionals who are like chemists blending the coffee on machines and weight scales to ensure that every cup of coffee is perfect. <br/><br/>The latte is great tasting. It's all in the beans. The menu has various types of tea's that I've seen on menus in France. Wonderful combinations of different herbs to produce unique flavors. The names are special also. <br/><br/>I just wanted to have a cup of coffee but seeing those cake plates flying over across almost every table made me want to try it. Had the red velvet milk cake. Portion is average, I'd suggest that you order it for yourself because after the first bite you wouldn't be able to share it with anyone. <br/><br/>Prices are little higher than other stores, but the quality is a notch higher than typical coffee shops. Not to forget this is a new business and after learning more about the ingredients used they can justify the price difference. <br/><br/>Only thing I found is that the sugar was wet and stuck on each other. They should have a spoon for the sugar. I wouldn't like every one placing their own spoon in the sugar and stirring the coffee, if it needed more sugar then place it again in the sugar bottle. <br/>Place is packed at noon/night. Consider coming early or have a walk until a table clears. <br/><br/>I would like to congratulate Rue 71 on its opening, service and goods. Will definitely be visiting it more often. <br/><br/><br/>
