Joy's Cafe

Basically the owner just lies....all the time....about things that don't even matter. Worst was when her cook told us they were closing, Joy said that was a lie and they're simply cleaning for fall but then they never came back.... Because they closed. Way over priced food for mediocre quality. She has a huge attitude problem and even fights with HR sending then nasty emails. She's a very fake unprofessional person.

If Joy would like to continue being a business owner, I don't think she should be customer facing. The food is great. The customer service is moody. One day Joy may be nice, the next Joy might be rude and cursing either at her employees in front of everyone or snarky at a customer. I witness Joy yelling multiple times at her cook Taylor. There was a shop full of customers and I'm sure I was not the only one that felt SUPER uncomfortable. Pricing is not consistent. I work in the business building where the cafe is located and one day I will get a sandwich that will be one price, and the next day I get the same sandwich and it will be a different price. Multiple times I have seen cross contamination from several different cooks. Touching a raw patty with hands then touching bread. I have seen French toast that has been dropped on the floor by Taylor and then served to a guest. I have heard of others seeing them drop food and serving it. I heard a co-working seen one of the new female cooks put down a raw chicken breast on the cutting board, take it off, wipe down the WHOLE cutting board with a rag that was just sitting there, contaminating the whole board, then wiped off the knife, no sanitizing of the board, the knife or the rag. I would NOT recommend this place until the cooks (who you can see cooking your food) are trained better. If they are doing these types of this in the open, imagine what is done behind closed doors. I wouldn't go back if Joy is still the main customer facing worker, she is just downright rude and unprofessional to others.

Amazing cafe! My wife has worked for joy since June of 2016 and I love it every time I go in! The food is great and the service is friendly! And anyone downing this business is crazy! Their prices are very good especially for the portion sizes you get! I recommend anyone looking for a quick lunch or spot to eat to go to one of her locations and try it because you won't regret it!

Food isn't to bad, but WAY over priced. Joy her self is nice but rude to her employees! Also never get anything with fish in it! please! save yourself! I got crab soup once and had to go home sick from work. Two of my co-workers frequent there and every time they came back with something with fish in it, they either went home or spent the rest of the day, miserable at work. I will never go back. But as long as you don't get anything with fish in it the food is good. please for the love of god don't eat the fish!

Joy the owner, is rude, loud and disrespectful to her staff and customers. If you complain that your order is incorrect Joy makes a scene and somehow makes it the customers fault (wasn't my hair in the food). I no longer patronize any of her businesses. Her cafe prices are too expensive for the quality of the food which, on most occasions, is mediocre at best. I was a frequent patron of her soup stand in the central market and was exited about her new location but no longer. I wish a "no star" rating was available.
