Amazing food...very fresh, delicious, and nice portion sizes. The staff were friendly and on point. My first visit, but definitely not my last.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place. We've gone at least 3 times and try different foods. You can ask them to tone down the spiciness or increase it which is nice. You can scan a bar code on your phone so the menu pops up. No worrying about dirty menus. We started out with calamari which came out in a nicely golden brown coated crispy skin. At $9.50 it was a bit pricey for 8 little circles of fried calamari. We ordered Tom Yum Kung soup and we were pleased with the light lemony lime flavor. The shrimp was substantial in size and amount cooked to perfection. Then we tried Thai friend rice. It had a nice mix of flavor , fish and oyster sauce maybe? It had a nice pungent but flavorful flavor. Then we had seafood Pad Cha. It's a mix of perfectly seasoned and cooked seafood mix with lightly steamed fresh vegetables stir fried in your choice of spiciness seasoning. We chose a #3 spiciness and it was bordeline too spicy but delicious.

My husband and I went for a late lunch yesterday and we had Jecce choose our meals on our preferences, she hit it out of the park. It was very crowded and we were treated with professionalism and fabulous service. OMG, my husband had a seafood plate (photos to follow) I had a curry chicken bowl with noodles, cilantro and red onion, and a bird's nest of crunchy noodles on top. We shared the calamari that came with a sauce with sesame seeds on top, mildly hot. It was a perfect meal all around. I had been there for a Christmas party and knew it was a fine Thai restaurant.

We tried shrimp cakes and chive dumplings to start. The shrimp cakes were good. The chive dumplings were okay. We have Rama Chicken and Pad Cashew Nuts for our entrees. Both dishes had chicken that was extremely dry. The sauce was very bland. After a few bites we ate the vegetables and rice. It was out first time trying Thai so it could be that it’s just not for us but even if that’s the case the chicken shouldn’t be so dry it’s difficult to chew.

Delicious red curry. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Food service was quick during late lunch. Atmosphere was nice and there is a cool little shop inside that sells various pastes, sauces, and such. Would recommend if you like curry.

Loved the food! We ordered pho, calamari, chicken satay and mango sticky rice. 😋

Awesome place with in walking distance from home. Always good food and service for dine in and fast out. Only time we ever had to wait longer than I'd hoped was Mother's day when they were certainly overwhelmed with orders so it was understandable.

District Thai has gone down hill drastically. Its very disappointing as this used to be one of our favorite places to eat. It started during the pandemic which was understandable with all the restaurants trying to figure out their new normal. We let things slide like missing food and special requests not being met. (Things like put this on the side or replace cilantro with basil) We went twice to dine in since the pandemic started, the first time it was very slow which again we understand but it took 30 minutes to take our order and we were the only seated table in the place. If they couldn't come to us they should have said to order at the counter, we would have totally done that. The next time we went was this past December, we figured it had been quite some time since we had gone before so it will hopefully be better. BUT this time they wouldn't even allow us to dine in, there were plenty of open tables and again we would have gladly ordered at the counter and even picked our food up from the counter if it would have made things easier for them. They still refused. I know the pandemic has effected restaurants financially so to turn away service was just mind blowing. Friends recently went and we were hoping they would say they had a better experience so we could possibly try a third time but nope they had to wait forever to order and the food was not nearly as good as it used to be. I hope this all gets rectified because I would hate for York to lose another great restaurant due to things that are completely fixable. If this keeps happening people will stop going.
