Thai Takeaway

We had a large group and ordered lots of entrees & dishes for the table with coconut rice….everything was lovely!! Service was so friendly like old friends and wonderful. Then we saw the karoke machine and sang out tunes for the next couple of hours there! Great time was had by us all. Will be back.

Our experience was good, but not what we expected. We ordered coconut rice, a prawn Tom Yum soup, Penang Curry and Ginger Pork Stirfry - which came to a total of $70. Pricey when you see the size of the takeaway containers the food came in. The Tom Yum soup was flavoursome however only contained three prawns and few vegetables- mostly carrot and onion. The Ginger stirfry was probably the best dish, contained a good ratio of vegetables to meat and the Ginger definitely made an impression. The Penang curry was probably the most disappointing dish - the chicken wasn’t cut small enough and the vegetables in the dish were only pumpkin and sweet potato! We’ve never had a Penang curry with huge chunks of pumpkin and sweet potato before! They looked like ‘filler’ in what is a very simple dish, and carbs on top of rice!? Really!?!??? Having said that, the curry was tasty - so not great, but good enough.

Food was salty and cold by the time we got it. One sweet and sour dish that was supposed to have pineapple, but none in the dish. When the customer asked for some she was told that they had run out. Coconut rice was ordered, but did not appear until most of us were halfway through our meal. The front of house service was atrocious with only a few customers in the restaurant, staff were deliberately ignoring requests for assistance. Don’t go there if you want authentic Thai food or service.

Young girl and boy were floundering but did as good a job as they could. We come here every time in yeppoon-.never again. Entree were just ok but not brilliant. Mains were ordinery no they were awful. Cashew chicken sweet and sour was rock hard vegies, soggy cashews and not nice. Green curry was only a little better. What has happened where is the thai lady owner who had amazing service and food. Has she sold out to second grade cooks
