Shelley's Kitchen

We visited because of a review that I had seen from another poster. Absolutely fantastic the food was prepared way beyond my expectations the amount of food that we received was incredible an absolute must try!!! I need to go back! there are so many things on the menu that I want to try. Definitely an awesome place to go!

If you are in Wyoming, MI; make sure you start your day off at Shelley’s Kitchen for breakfast (or lunch). We stopped in as a group of bikers fueling up before putting some miles on the motorcycles. We were instantly greeted by smiling faces and friendly waitstaff. Shelley also came out from the kitchen, and personally welcomed us. Then, there was the food!! Delicious! My husband and I shared a plate of the special ham hash brown casserole with two eggs and homemade toast. The cherry on top, was the house-made hot sauce. Creamy, savory amazing! For the sweet side, we also split a Monte Cristo which was just divine. Texas toast style French toast sandwiches creamy Swiss and Smokey ham, and came with fresh made strawberry sauce for dipping. Yum! Such an inviting, delicious diner. Make sure you stop when you’re in town!

I stopped here at 12:30 for lunch and I was seated right away. My server came right over and gave me a menu and took my drink order. When she came back with my drink, I ordered the Hot Beef Sandwich along with mashed potatoes. After a short time, my meal was delivered, and it looked really good. There was a beef sandwich that was totally covered in rich beef gravy. In the center of the plate there was a big pile of mashed potatoes. The beef was extremely tender and flavorful. The beef gravy was creamy and rich, it covered very stiff mashed potatoes. They were cream and the gravy was perfect on top. The overall experience was very good. I felt I received more than my money's worth on the meal and the service was good as well. This is a nice little diner with a great vibe to it. I will be back.

My husband showed me this little gem from his childhood. Super cute diner, friendly service, and homey feel. I got the chicken and waffles and at first sight was not sure. My first bite was so much more than I expected. Waffle was good, pretty standard. But the chicken tenders were crispy, flakey, and delicious. Paired very well with the waffle! My husband got the western omelet and was very surprised by the fact that the veggies were actually sautéed before they were cooked inside the egg. The gravy on top was an excellent addition. American fries were also great! If you are ever passing through Wyoming, this place is a must!

Arrived after 1pm and was just slowing down. Got the Shelly Burger with hand dipped onion rings.Wow..it came on grilled bread and it was hot, juicy and could not put it down! Husband got the cowboy burger and onion rings said it was very good. Grand daughter got a Bacon Burger and fries. She said it was the best burger she has eaten in a long time. Onion rings were fresh and hand dipped NOT bread crumbs. Onions were tender and did not pull or fall out of batter. I almost hate to give this review because I don't want to share this gem and risk spoiling it! It was a really good lunch! Food and pop (free refills) for three came to $35.00 plus tip.
