Paolo Ristorante

This family-style dining restaurant is a notch above them all. From the accommodating hostess (we had no reservation for Saturday evening), the cozy ambiance, linen table cloths, perfect white Russian (not often the case), full menu of wonderful choices and terrific waitstaff. Our Italian waitress guided me to the evening special: perfectly cooked veal w/ spinach and an amazing gorgonzola cognac pan sauce. It was a fabulous birthday dinner! Too bad we did not have time for desert!

Wonderful! Friendly attentive service starts you off for a culinary visit to Italy. Warm fresh baked bread is your first taste. The wine list has breadth and depth and all are very reasonably priced. I went for an old stand by, Zuppa de Pesce. If they can do that dish right then let's start a relationship. They did. Presentation lovely, ingredients perfectly cooked. Four shellfish, clams, mussels, scallops, and shrimp with tender calamari rings. Over linguine. But the sauce you ask? Marvelous. Do go!

this restaurant is fantastic...this is our third time here...we dine outside on the patio...Elena, the waitperson, is so friendly and gracious. Everything is fantastic: we shared a Caesar salad and the Capesante Mare Mio (Pan seared scallops served over a primavera risotto, lobster sauce) is the most delicious dish we have ever had...we both ordered it and took home some to enjoy for lunch for a few days. Beyond delicious.

This Resturant is a neighborhood go to, incredible service, fantastic drinks and the food is off the charts! This is our go to place! They have wonderful specials, seafood is SPO good and their Italian fair and light and fresh! It’s a hidden gem, but once you go you will be back three times! One of the best restaurants in New Haven!! Worth the try!

Our family went to Paolo Ristorante for the first time on Sunday night and were VERY impressed by the friendly caring atmosphere and delicious food. The service was spectacular and every dish was better than the next. The portions are very generous and prices very reasonable. This restaurant will, no doubt, become a very common destination for us even though we live 20 minutes away in Milford. I can't recommended it highly enough! Italian food at its best!

Awesome restaurant in every aspect! Food is absolutely delicious with substantial portions and beautiful presentation We liked Antonio’s but feel Paolo surpasses it. We have eaten here many times and haven't had one complaint. The owners Elena and Paolo are always warm and friendly and a pleasure to chat with. I give it an A+++. Thanks for bringing fine Italian dining back to the Woodbridge area!

In my life, I've been to over 10+ different Italian restaurants in 4 states so far. While I may not be a professional food critic, I do have quite a taste especially being raised by my Grandfather who came over here from Rieti, Italy. That being said, Paolo Ristorante is hands-down the greatest Italian restaurant I've ever visited. It also has the best food to grace my palate in a very long time. My server Elena, who's a delightful sweetheart, has an inviting personality. That as well as her beautiful welcoming smile made for a phenomenal dining experience. I will definitely be back and I'm very happy with my experience here.
