El Pique

I had the worst experience ever on 07-14/201. I was eating a bowl on consume soup when I found a cooked roach with the legs still attached in my food. This is place is sooo unsanitary, thank god I order through DoorDash and they provided me with a full refund. Beware anyone who dare eats this food, they got roaches and will gladly feed them to you

I have never been disappointed the numerous times I've ordered from El Pique. You can taste how everything is made from scratch and I LOVE the spicy! I usually get the tacos and enchiladas, but I also treated myself to the guacamole and I'm a little sad I didn't opt for a larger size. I highly recommend this little shop of you're fiending for some fresh, delicious, authentic Mexican.

If I was only rating the food, this place would get 5-stars from me - not perfect, but darn good especially for the price. The location however is inconvenient and uninviting from the outside. The restaurant itself is small with cafeteria-style tables, but clean otherwise. The staff was pleasant and the food didn't take long, but to be fair we got in before they became very busy. I thought the food presentation was nice (see photo) and the taste just as good. Everything was fresh! One quesadilla easily filled me up, though there are many sides to pick from. A better location would do wonders for the place, but as-is El Pique is an every-now-and-then spot for decent Mexican food.

Small hole in the wall legitimate Mexican taco place. They have a huge selection of tacos and other Mexican food with deals that let you pick multiples of 5 tacos. They have a range of sauces mild or spicy, the spicy is so addictive but is definitely very spicy. I would highly recommend this place for takeaway or a quick snack in. They should extend their hours past 6 pm they seemed to be open past 6 but they should advertise that. All in all it was one of the most authentic Mexican food experiences I've had in Wilmington Deleware and maybe even the broader region.

Don’t let the outside fool you, this place may look iffy on the outside, but I guarantee what’s cooking in the kitchen is so worth it. The BEST tamales I ever had! I always come here to get at least 8 tamales, my husband & daughter love the tacos! Great authentic Mexican spot, definitely a hole in the wall. Always a satisfied customer!

I ordered 5 beef with Tex Mex toppings, creama sour cream, Mexican cheese and red sauce. Look how fat these tacos are packed. Sooo delicious! These are authentic Mexican Tacos. Perfect meal any day but especially on taco tuesday when you get five of these for $5. $1 99 for the cheese and two sour creams. All for $7.96!
