Recently attended for a wedding. Beautiful meal, 24 hour slow cooked hogget was the centrepiece. Andy and his team sure know their way around the kitchen, everything was delicious. Awesome view from up here. Local band, Roobix, kept the crowd entertained. Would love to come back...

Absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch. Great tasty innovative food, amazing ambience, lovely location, terrific commentary from the owner/cook. Wonderful company. Our Place is more than a lunch but is also an experience of a leisurely degustation that goes on for 3+ hours. This is the best and most tasty lunch I have had for years. It was so so good. And when we left, we all felt very com comfortable. A stunning gourmet experience.

Attended our niece’s wedding reception here last night. Food was outstanding, the atmosphere transported us back to Reggio Emilia when we were there in 2019. Great family atmosphere, food was so tasty. The band was great. The whole night was exceptional. We will definitely come back to this hidden gem on Willunga Hill.

Celebrated our wedding there. Amazing staff and owner made us feel like part of the family. The food was amazing every guest raved about it would recommend going there for lunch 11/10

Where do we start….we found this place online and read some of the reviews and thought this sounds very interesting. As it was my birthday weekend we decided to call and book Sunday ‘lunch’. Andy Clappis who owns and runs the restaurant and working farm was super friendly, informative, personable and passionate about what he/they do at Port Place at Willunga.
We booked in after Andy explained how it all worked.
We arrived at 12pm to a very lively and well presented banquet hall, it almost felt like we were at a wedding!! We grabbed drinks and were shown to our table by the very friendly waiting team.
After a few appetisers which were divine and shortly after Andy came out (wished a few of us happy birthday which was a nice touch) and spoke to everyone to explain how it would all work. Andy’s Italian heritage and passion for food and entertaining his guests was clear and really lovely to see. Andy explained that we would be having his famous risotto, Gnocchi, Vlea/Tuna escalopes and a real surprise…….. We worked our way through the fantastic food and the welcome addition was the freshly baked bread straight from the oven and hios incredible pate!!
Then after a few more drinks SAndy reappeared with a huge water buffalo rump that had been smoked and cooked for 24 hours -this was simply unreal- the taste and flavor blew us away!! Balls served with a lovely roasted veg accompaniment.
Cronoollas came for dessert and we were done by this point (especially after having the wonderful meat and extras!!)
All in all we were super impressed from start to finish and a 4 hour long lunch is simply heaven!!
Thanks Andy and your wonderful team, (Chris and Ali/Ellie, on the bar) were super friendly and chatted with me for a while- lovely team ) we will be back again very soon!!
