@thecommoner_uptown Hands-down, without a doubt, the best shrimp nachos in uptown Whittier. What a beautiful display of simple and fresh ingredients with just the right amount of shrimp, queso, crema, Pico de gallo, guac and crunchy tortilla chips. Service was amazing. The servers were all very friendly and very attentive to the customers. We had the pork belly tacos and the surf n turf tacos and they were delicious. If your in to craft beer the tap selections here are very good with some great beers to choose from. I definitely would come back and I highly recommend stopping in for a pint and a taco when in the area.

EVERY SINGLE TACO DRIPPED FLAVOR. Had one of each on the menu. Worth the price for each of them. Thank you to Dani who was the young man to attend to us, he was friendly and deserves Well given gratuity. Good vibes only at the Commoner. Was there for the first time this weekend and I must say I was pretty impressed with the food and service. The two gals that were there were nice and attentive. What I liked about there food menu was the fact that the menu was not cluttered with tons of food on it. It was simple and and easy to read. The server was also quick to inform us of special dish of the day which were shrimp tacos. I highly recommend the Salmon and Tuna poke dishes. The fish was very fresh and flavorful. There beer selection was pretty good as well. Even though we didn't try many beers with our dinner we really enjoyed the beers recommended by the server. The bar area looked and smelled very clean and did not smell like some of the many malodorous raunchy bars in Whittier. Thank you!
