Great local pub, the furniture’s getting tired (and the tables are sticky through constant cleaning), but the food is homely and consistent and the service is always brilliant…special thanks to Lynn, Stacey and Ben for the always warm welcome!

Food cheap and cheerful. Have been going here for years and have had little cause for complaint. Shout out to our Lynn the best waitress in town makes my family feel like royalty.

Just been to the Bewers fayre at Whitehaven, with 11 disabled people, we couldnt have gone anywhere better, the food was fantastic ( and cheap) the service second to none. we will be going again for sure, very soon.

We are our evening meal here with the other C2C riders and supporters. The Premier Inn is quite a bit outside of town, so unless you fancy a long walk or a drive then you’re land locked here.
The food is pretty standard fare and we all had a reasonable meal at a reasonable price.

I was having a great day but this place made it better came for lunch and the family loved it so we came back for the pie wensday and the fish pie was very good also there was lots of big wazzers

Hats off to all the staff on tonight - difficult for them all as they are understaffed. However, they still smiled and did the very best they could. Your employer should take note of how brilliant you’ve been this evening. Too many people are quick to criticise and not take note of the actual service they give here!! Brilliant - thank you so much. Food was excellent, service was flawless. Made our night 👍

Booked and was seated straight away. Advised that food will be 30ms due to being busy but it arrived much sooner. Everyone was happy with the food and service. Recommended.
