Panera Bread

This is for the West Orange location. Great staff and service. I always get my all time favorite salad to go. Decided to dine-in. This is their fuji apple salad with chicken (whole, not half) and a side of baguette. The meal was absolutely beautiful and perfect. It was a gorgeous day and this made it even better. PAUSE. Sadly, had a disappointing find in my salad. For what looked like molded greens. Management was very courteous and tried to right the wrong. I was more bummed about not finishing the salad. Took a couple of days off from my fave. I'll be back..TBD

the people who work there are really sweet very friendly and helpful two rating is because of the steak sandwich that simply does not have sufficient ingredients to make it more than a bread sandwich 😂. sharing pics so management can see the turkey chili is delicious and that fontega chicken sandwich is amazing pass on that cheap steak sandwich!

This is my go to Panera in addition to the Edison one in NJ. The staff are always Nice and accommodating if you have any issues with the food and the portions are good. I’ve gone to many other paneras in different states And the ones in New Jersey seem to be really good and especially the West Orange one. I love it that they have Wi-Fi and a Fireplace and comfortable seats. My egg white breakfast sándwich was amazing on a bagel.

Cobb salad is good here but they forgot the coffee i ordered. I ordered Ice vanilla latte and they said I can get it in the corner (showed in the picture) I said, where can I get the espresso shots? and they said the coffee is in the corner. but then they realized that they messed up when nobody get the coffee sitting in the counter.

Okay spot. Food was fine and probably would have been better if figuring out how to order had not been an ordeal; the customer service was lacking. The coffee and pastry did their job and refreshed me. No one was at register to take orders. This was not a staffing issue. They were staffed but most likely filling on-line orders. It wasn't evident that you are required to use the kiosks. I headed back towards the entry and attempted to use the kiosk. The one I went to wasn't working. I was finally able to use a kiosk someone had finished using just to discover that if you hang out around the register long enough someone will eventually show up and take your order. I know most people think when you walk into a store, you're a regular and understand the flow. That's not always the case, even if I were familiar with the store's operational flow, workers should be prepared to serve the customers or at least acknowledge that someone will be with them shortly.

I am trying out the monthly subscription service. So far it has been easy to walk in and get a hot tea or hot coffee. Zero hassles using the Panera app to order ahead. There are a hand full of teas to try. Just drop a tea bag in a cup and dispense the hot water. As for the coffees, one can choose between decaffeinated, hazelnut and Colombian. I will try out the iced coffee once the weather warms up and see how it is. So far I like it and I have been able to utilize it twice a day, Monday through Friday and sometimes on the weekends since Panera is conveniently located close to where I live. When I have a chance I will try out there food offerings.
