Damenti's

With not a lot of choices in the Hazleton area, this is probably the nicest restaurant. It’s obviously been in business for many years, as you feel you’ve stepped back in time a bit by the decor. You can either interpret this as quaint or neglected depending on your perspective. The staff is friendly and prompt with service. The menu is not large but generally should be something for most tastes on it. The restaurant has a beautiful view from the outdoor screened in porch (which they can shut when it gets chilly) so I had a delightful dinner on a warm fall day. My food was very flavorful.

First time visiting and discovered that we had been missing a spectacular dining experience. We come to the area often to visit my wife's parents and have been to every restaurant of note. Damenti's is definitely the best restaurant in the area. The food was perfectly prepared, and the service and atmosphere are also unmatched. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes, which were the best that we've had in years. My wife had the salmon stuffed with spinach and carrots. I had the Manhattan Clam Chowder, maybe the best I've ever had, and their famous Blue Cheese Salad, which definitely reflects the fanfare. Don't let the prices scare you because quality is top notch and portions are good size. You definitely get your monies worth, and you won't be disappointed.

Great spot kind of hidden away. Good atmosphere and pleasant staff. Wife enjoyed the plethora of pasta choices and we plan to go back regularly. They have covered outdoor seating we want to try out. They couldn't make a mojito for me due to the mint in their garden not being ready which I view as a positive.
