Ihop

The food was cooked well: my hash browns were browned, my eggs were cooked right, my food was hot. My service was excellent: my coffee was refilled, my order taken quickly, didn't have to ask for my check. The floors didn't look like they'd been cleaned before the restaurant was opened. It was off-putting. This may be from lack of help. Made me wonder what else wasn't getting cleaned.

My husband, daughter and I went to IHOP to get dinner before the Tuacahn show. There was only 1 waitress in the entire restaurant, Lilly. It was Memorial Day. After Lilly was finished taking a customers order, she quickly noticed and seated us. We were given menus and we ordered our drinks. Lilly then helped a few other customers. I want to say what a remarkable young lady, Lilly is! Not only was she working alone as greeter and waitress, she was awesome and pleasant about it!! I asked her if she was alone and she replied yes. I did see 2 cooks in the back, but, Lilly was running the restaurant! Manager please give Lilly a raise and recognize the wonderful, cheerful and competent employee you have! Thank you Lilly for making our St George mini vacation a great place to visit! (:

It is a hit and miss. Sometimes there is not an adequate crew to get the services fully executed. Then other times there is enough cooks, servers and bus 'boys' to adequately service the patrons visit. Overall, we usually have a decent server and food is good. This time the crew may have been a little lacking, only one cook and one person that appeared to be cleaning up the servers tables. The place was not heavily inundated with patrons but it seemed to flow steadily with the doordash, Uber type of delivery people. Our table was not cleaned up very well nor did we have clean glasses the first round of drinks. We could or maybe should of said something so the server could ensure his/her next guests were better cared for by the person cleaning their tables and washing dishes. So instead of a 2 star review I am providing the 3 star based upon me not opening my mouth to say something. That being said, it was the first time being there out of the 4 plus times that we have visited, seen a dirty table or dirty drinking glasses. Of course we will not let that detour us from another visit at a later time. My husband ordered the cheese crusted 4 cheese melt, he enjoyed the sandwich. I ordered the quick two egg breakfast. Of course being quite tired and I did not have all my gears turning I forgot to take pictures of our food. My husband did capture the dirty bits from his water glass and the table. Next time we visit I will update and provide pictures.

I had the BEST omelette in my life at IHOP! And I’ve had a LOT of omelettes over the years. I’m also having a “love affair” with their butter/pecan syrup! I’ve tried for decades to find someplace (including IHOP!) that would sell me this fantastic syrup…online or whatever but there is NO place 😞 IHOP is a clean restaurant, one of the most important things when looking and comparing; service has always been first class and though their prices seem high to me, ALL restaurants are overpriced IMO. To me, going out for a meal is a luxury that I don’t get often (old, disabled and poor!!!). When someone does invite me to dine out, I always suggest IHOP even though I don’t normally put huge chain operations on my priority list. IHOP IS RECOMMENDED!!!
