The quality of the food has went down extremely over the years once new management took over. And the prices are kind of high as well. Used to be one of my favorites back in the day

Where did Mary go? Saying the food was tasteless is a compliment. It all tasted like cooked food left out overnight, reheated, left out again, reheated, accidentally eaten by a dog that threw it up. I ordered the veggie omelette and added bacon for flavor... Big mistake to order anything at all. How does someone one mess up bacon? Needless to say, there is a market next door. Just go there to buy a snack. And there is a funeral home next to that in case you end up getting Mary's.

This place is not good. Well more specifically the breakfast food. It had no taste . The turkey sausage was over cooked and dry . My pancakes had no flavor and my eggs didn’t either. I wouldnt recommend the breakfast food here .

Food is tasteless; eggs are rubbery and vegetables are overcooked. There's probably something better to eat at the bottom of the Anacostia. If you are hungry, consider starvation before this place. If forced to patronize under duress, please take the maximum allowed ketchup packets and buy a bottle of water and turn these into soup inside an old shoe ... it will be better than anything else on the menu.

Hole in the walls are usually great. This doesn't disappoint. My favorite pancakes anywhere. Salmon cakes are good and so is everything else. No frills. But so what. Cash only but there's an atm inside.

I've been a customer since the days of Ms. Mary and then Suzy. Nellie has been a valued employee who makes you feel so special while giving great service. The food is not as superb as before, but hits the spot.
