Was near Conimicut Point and me and a friend wanted to eat something nearby and found this place. It was rather dimly lit but had a wooded high ceiling field. They seated and served us right away and actually had the food all ready super quick (we ordered mainly appetizers). It was alot of food (like very filling for each items - being all appetizers), which was cool (taste was was ok). I feel like I would use/hire them for catering and big gatherings and for the amount of food i thought maybe 70 or more but it was lil under 60. We ordered spare ribs, fried dumplings, beef teriyaki, spring rolls, and a few other things. The lady server was a sweet heart too.

I have been going here for 15 years and had never gotten a bad plate. Tonight I ordered over $100 in take out for a group and every single combo was absolutely disgusting. The generals chicken had no sauce on it, (4 orders) , the boneless spare ribs had nothing bit fat, the Rangoons taste like they dug them out of the Oakland beach playground, the chicken fingers with gravy came without gravy and where like chewing on chicken jerky wrapped in sponges. Also I drove 20 minutes one way for this. I will not be going back here again which is sad considering all the good years. Another Chinese restaurant down the tubes.

My FAMILY and Friends have been ENJOYING THE ISLANDER for over 30 years....The Quantity and Quality are Second to None!!! Their Menu is Extensive, and if you don't see it, they'll make it for You...Their Waite staff are always Attentive and Courteous, whether eating In or Ordering "TO GO"...SPACIOUS LOUNGE AND Dining Area's,Great for FAMILY get togethers or Celebrations 🍾 😉....I'm Sure you'll add this to one of YOUR Favorite Dining Experiences....ENJOY!! Be prepared if you order take out on the Islanders Restaurant site I ordered two orders of the Wings Islander wings under appetizers it says it was $8.80 for order when I got there it was almost double of what I thought the amount was going to be she said well did you order from the takeout menu I didn't even know there was a takeout menu! so I told her no I did not I ordered off the appetizers because that's all we were getting and she could care less! I was never told there was a $4.25 difference between ordering off the takeout menu for ordering off the appetizer menu this was terrible and they should have never charged me what they did I won't be back. Being shady at best!!!

Classic example of an establishment Rhode Islanders rave about but really isn't very good. Generals chicken is always extra tough, borderline chicken jerky status. Rice is never good. I think the best thing I've had from this place is the French fries....

I ordered a combination plate sub the rice for lo mein, instead of telling me they couldn’t sub the rice for that they just assumed and gave me chow mein. This business has gone severely down hill in the past few years. Plenty of other good Chinese places around RI. When I called to fix it/ tell them they messed up the woman was extremely rude, giving me attitude and talking over me the whole nine. If you can’t work with the public and customers maybe you should get a new job!

We were celebrating the 50th Birthday party for my Sister in law, We were a group of 25 and they gave us a private room and the food and drinks were fantastic. This is such a great place to have a great meal or event. They're so accommodating.

We used to love islander. We even drive 20 min each way to eat here. Unfortunately after tonight I will be going else where. The last few months the service has really gone down hill. Tonight I drove all the way home to find my combo was not a combo. I called back and was told it wasn't put in as a combo sorry and hung up on.
