Bada Bean Coffee

Stopped by here today to get a cup of coffee and slice of Broccoli Cheddar quiche. I love the coffee and the quiche was delish (owner has it shipped from Italy). They also have free wifi (for paying customers) which was nice since my internet has been down for 3 days in my neighborhood. I really like the cozy feel and decor of this shop. There are also fun specialty items for sale. I really liked that I could get some work done in a very private space in the back of the cafe.

The person who took my order was really nice... but it took about 10+ minutes to get a strawberry boba, and there was only one person in front of me who had ordered iced coffee. I’ve only been one time, so I can’t speak for the quality of their other beverages, but the boba was disappointing. I’m no boba tea expert, but you wouldn’t have to be to know that the drink was not good. There were grains in the bottom of the drink that looked like undissolved sugar. The large amount ice made the amount of the drink significantly smaller that it should have been for the price. The tapioca pearls had an old and borderline rancid taste, and a very rubbery texture. Also the actual milk tea part did not taste significantly like strawberries. I was expecting the artificial flavor and I would have been fine with it, but it was very watered down and the only thing that let me know it was strawberry was the pink color. I hate spreading any kind of negativity, but I just wanted to put this out there for anyone else like me, so that they don’t make the same mistake. Also, If this store changes the way they make boba, please let me know!!! I was very excited that there was a store close to me that sold it, because if I enjoyed the drink I’d be sure to return and bring others who I know enjoy this drink as well.

A true slice of heaven! Bada Bean is so very much an experience and less like a coffee house. (although the coffee is top rate). I went there today for the first time and was more than impressed. The atmosphere was cozy, and warm. Very inviting! The people who were there as customers were so nice and I found it to be a awesome place to network. I met a gentleman there who I had the most exciting conversation with. Being truly inspired, I left with my taste buds floating on cloud nine and a new place to go to get a caffeine and spirit fix.

I have had several different drinks from Bada Bean and every time it has been amazing! This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in Wake Forest. The owner and her staff are warm and friendly every time and are patient and happy to explain the different drinks and customize them anyway I’d like. I highly recommend Bada Bean!

The best coffee around! The best staff! Elizabeth and Ariel take such amazing care of everyone! I found this place one day tucked near my new home. I was immediately welcomed by the proprietor Elizabeth on a day I really needed a smile and a to make a friend. That was over two years ago and I am In every week!
