Koko Ramen

They were out of a bunch of stuff including green tea when I went. Service was fast and didn't take too long to get my food either. Broth was good. I really liked the mountain of toppings I got; toppings tasted fresh too. The vegetarian ramen (mushroom miso) tastes kinda iffy, but their meat containing dishes are tasty. Bowls are large and you get plenty of food, but I'm not sure it's worth $13 since the noodles taste like the $0.25 packet instant noodles--it's not even Cup Noodle level instant noodles 😞

Well, it was our first time at this restaurant. Not to happy😌 I was asked ready to order 🙃 Not a Hello, or Welcomed to Koko Ramen or Hi, can I help you🤔😞 most restaurant workers when you walk in to restaurant. My daughter order for both of us..$30. and extra $6... for a tip not for sure why we needed to give a tip at the time we checked out. We walked up to pickup our own food and had to go back to get our drinks too. Husband and son walked away to the other food from different restaurant's. You can see by the photos the food look good. But the 🍲 🍜 had no flavor/season in the soup it was greasy enough to go through the bowl. The 🪰 🪰 🪰was driving me crazy. We asked for something to take are food home. We were given lids for the both bowl. 😏

Every time I get my food TO GO from here I am DISAPPOINTED and IRATE. I specifically asked the cashier if my ramen would come with an egg since my order was to go because every single time I order my ramen to go I’m missing the egg. Idk if it’s some unwritten rule that they have, that you get no egg if your soup is to go? However if you charge EXTRA for an extra egg, we deserve a discount if you’re going to cheat us out of it every order. I come here often and I have given chance after chance. Finally I’ve had enough because tonight I spent $23 on a bowl of ramen I ordered extra noodles, extra broth and a spice level 2. I got ZERO spice and a ridiculous amount of scallions and no egg, and no extra broth. $23 of DISAPPOINTMENT. The soup was the worst version I’ve ever gotten here..idk if this was just for today? Idk if ownership has changed? There is no more passion in this food and it definitely shows.

We have been going to KoKo since they were a food truck. So probably since 2015. But lately things took a turn for the worse. Tonight the ramen was sad. I asked for spice. No spice. No eggs available. Portions are getting smaller as well. And tonight the only spice I can taste is salt. I hope Koko can figure it out, because I miss what they used to me. For what I paid definitely not worth the price.

Broth was basically just brown water, no flavor. Noodles were not flavored cause broth has no flavor. The only thing that had flavor was the pork fat on the pork cutlets. I'm not really a person who throws away food. I usually would take it home and try to eat later, but this ramen was so bad, I just trashed it.

This place has seriously declined! I use to visit when they were just a food truck and again a lot when they initially opened. I’ve had it twice over the last few months for the first time since the pandemic and the only positive thing I can say is they are using earth friendly containers. The broth had zero flavor and was basically cold brown water. The noodles were stuck together and there was like a pound of green onions. Additionally I asked for spice level 1 and it was not added as well. I also asked for extra pork belly, egg, fish cakes and brussels sprout. The pork belly and egg were missing. Then I had to wait for the pork belly to be cooked which it was given to me nearly raw. After all the back and forth I just asked for a to go container because it was already cold to begin with and I didn’t want to bother asking for another thing when they were clearly struggling. You don’t charge $25 for food, ask people to wait 30 minutes, serve them cold food that is inedible and missing virtually everything you asked for. Seriously one of those .25 cent ramens from the grocery store would’ve had more flavor. I don’t know if it’s owned by someone else, or run by different people now or what the deal is but it’s the worst and I won’t be returning. I honestly wish I could be refunded. This place use to be 5 stars and now it doesn’t deserve this 1 star.
