Hometown Buffet

We usually enjoy going to this restaurant but today they were not up to their usual great customer service. The meatloaf was cold there were no spoons. The plates were low. Several people had to ask for spoons. Our waitress was wonderful, Linda deserves a raise. She was helpful, respectful and warm. I hope someone in management sees this. I use to love going here to eat now I'm hoping I don't get sick.

Normally we love eating here. Our experience on New Year's Eve wasn't very good. The (clean) plates were covered in dried on food and the food wasn't very good. I spoke to the manager about the plates and he explained the dishwasher wasn't working and they were waiting for someone to come fix it. I understand things happen but how hard is it to check the plates before you put them out. He didn't seem concerned. He took the plates I had and walked away like it was no big deal. When I went to get another plate and was checking it a gentleman that had been at the register paying who had asked "if the ice cream machine was working today" said "are the plates dirty again?" I said "yes." It made me feel like this was an on going problem. I thought back to when the Fresno restaurant was on Undercover Boss and what they would say today. As I said we normally love to eat here. I hope they get things figured out.

I have been to lunch here many times. The person at the register is always pleasant, the food is always good and hot, and the cleanliness is pretty good too. The atmosphere is very inviting as well. The only negative I have is lack of tennetivness by the wait staff. It is nice that they are not overbearing however when eating with a group the table tends to get crowded with empty dishes so it would be nice for them to come around and collect more often. Overall very good place.

Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Very clean. The employee's are awesome very happy and energetic. Only thing that I do not like to see is the employee's looking like they are going to break their back or have back problems due to the broom handles being so short, as a former employee at 5* restaurant this is unacceptable. The following info I just provided is why I'm rating 4 out of 5 stars. As a valuable customer of Hometown buffet I would like too see changes.
