Applebee's

We went here because it is close to our house and we didn’t feel like driving across town for a decent steak. When we checked in we were told it was going to be a 15-20 minute wait but we were seated in less than 10. Of course they were out of the rib-eye steaks which is the only steak I get from here, so I ordered a bourbon street steak (a sirloin) with the garlic green beans instead of the potatoes. What I got was what could only be described as a child’s toy football that was partially deflated (see the picture). It was tough and was seared only on one side. The green beans were so under cooked that the actual beans were crunchy. More times than not were disappointed in this place, we will not make this mistake again. For about $10 more you can get much better steaks from Outback or Tahoe Joe’s. I told my wife that Applebee’s steaks are good for people who haven’t had good steaks. I will say the best part of our meal was the pretzel and cheese appetizer, that was good!

We called before coming here because Google showed the live data that it is busier than usual. Mind you, we have kids so we do not want to wait long. The guy who answered said there is no wait and we would be seated upon arrival. We were no more than five minutes when I called, we get there and it turns out there is a 45 minute wait!! Yes, we chose to wait and eat because everything else is closed or closing. Food was decent, the appetizer tasted better than the entrée. The spinach/artichoke dip was my personal favorite. The highlight of this dine in, the dessert.

Great service. Large drink menu. Pasta bowls are pretty popular around this time, the chicken/ spinach bowl was good but could've used a little more Alfredo sauce. The pretzel appetizer was ok, it came with beer cheese sauce and honey mustard which was a good combination but there was too much salt on the pretzel sticks for my liking. Popular place for dinner and drinks, bar is in the center of restaurant.

If the host is that rude and disrespectuful of customers when they walk in then I can only imagine the rest of the horrible service that would be provided. We walked out after such blatent rudeness. Thank you ride host for taking your friends to an open table before the waiting customers. He is the reason e will never grace this establishment with my patronage. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! GET A NEW HOST HE IS TERRIBLE!!!!

We ordered the 2 for $27 dinners and so glad we did! Everything was AWESOME! Food was fresh, fast and hot to our table. Besides our meals being delicious I have to say that Gloria has to be the BEST server we've experienced in a long time, maybe EVER! She did everything she could to make sure we the best dinner experience possible! She was attentive, smart, quick, polite, happy, friendly and genuinely cared about every person at every table she was attending. She was a joy and really made our evening special! For a great dining experience, I'd certainly recommend this particular Applebee's and ask the host to seat you and your party in Gloria's section! (FYI we just tonight met this young lady, we're not relatives or friends, so it's not like that) Today when customer service is a thing of the past, this lady just stands out!!!
