Food was prepared very quickly. The shrimp tacos were very crunchy and delicious. They had a little kick to them. The brisket was also good, although the portions were on the smaller side. Fried green tomatoes were crunchy and the sauce was very tasty.

Definitely more of a pub food experience but still really good. This riverfront cafe is the unassuming little brother of sharky's on the pier. We had the alligator bites which were good and the beer was cold

Smoked wings were outstanding! Ribs and smoked brisket were very good. Beer was a bit overpriced for a little more than a clear Dixie cups worth. Not even a pint sized solo cup for draft??? Live Music and overall outdoor atmosphere was very Old Florida like… overall good time! And I do recommend if you haven’t been there!

Excellent old Florida atmosphere with very good entertainment. Pretty much excellent food. I liked the 3 meat platter, but found the smoked wings only ok. My partner loved them.

This place takes me back in time. Such a relaxing old Florida environment. We’ve had dinner/lunch several times and rented a canoe the last time. We enjoyed the peaceful stroll down the Mayans river. Then we enjoyed the amazing food. My favorite is the chicken wings. We usually go when we have our staycation in Venice Beach but we have actually driven an hour just to have dinner there and then driven back the same night. That’s how good it is!

Amazing food and white sangaris. There were 5 of us, and we all had the brisket. Phenomenal. Tender, lots of flavor, delicious! Definitely recommend. The cole slaw and homemade potato chips were also delicious. Service was spot on, and the manager even popped by and thanked us for dining with them. We even had a visitor. We will definitely be back!

Please try this restaurant when you are visiting Venice! I highly recommend the barbecue plate. We normally order 3 different meat (pork, ribs, brisket). They are so delicious. You can choose 2 sides, and we ordered collard green and baked beans. They are also the best!

Awesome restaurant right on the myakka. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Beware of the gators. Definitely would go back again before they demolish the building next year.
