Syrup Trap

The Couve tastes just like a Monte Cristo which is great but the waffles were chewy (not in a good way). The whipped cream didn't seem to have vanilla nor sugar and my 11yr old opted to leave it all on the plate. He actually only ate the ham and left the rest. There was one very kind woman at the front counter that made me consider giving this place a second chance, especially as they have articles about having the best waffles hanging on the wall.

A very pleasant layed back smaller restaurant with friendly attentive service. Indoor and outdoor seating, bussing your own table. I tried the Mojo Jojo. It was very good but my experience making waffles and pancakes and eating at other establishments serving same, the waffles seemed a bit undercooked or that's the way it is supposed to be but it gave it a slightly chewy texture. Other people commented about how sweet the waffles are and they are correct, sugar definitely added. No syrup needed, which is irony, the name of the place. This is a higher quality restaurant at a very reasonable price. I'm always impressed with the quality utensils and that shows it cares about the product. If you don't mind the extra sweet taste, this is the best place.

Syrup trap is an amazing and unique place to grab a quick and satisfying brunch. The staff and owner are very nice and love talking about their craft. They have perfected the waffle and make a mean latté as well. I had the “second breakfast” waffle which comes with Brie and prosciutto and it was delicious. Keep it up syrup trap!!
