Excellent service, emailed Mark the chef about vegetarian starter preferences and he tailored the offering.
Service was attentive but not too fussy.
I'd have given 5 for the atmosphere as the vibe was really chilled but music is very important to me so would have preferred instrumental background music (that's subjective & such a first world problem!).
We had a great night and totally recommend this place.

Once again an outstanding evening at Base. Mark and his team offer an evening of fantastic customer service and really wonderful food. Went for the evening tasting menu and it was full of flavour, both of us loved the gazpacho, full of flavour and with a hint of heat. There are too many good dishes to mention but the other that stood out was the S’mores, fun and messy to eat and a fine dining version of a camp fire classic. With Mark leading the kitchen and Abi leading front of house the have built an unrivalled team that never disappoint. We love to eat out in many restaurants but Base brings me back time and again and always will do, whether for a fantastic dinner or a casual lunch.

We’ve visited Base on several occasions and also had Mark’s dine out at home experience. Mark, Kirsti, Abbi and the team go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, whilst providing 5star food.

Another amazing evening at Base. We finally managed to make it to a Plant Power evening and it did not disappoint! Such inventive, fresh and delicious dishes. Love that ingredients are such good quality and sourced locally. The staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable and Mark always makes the evening special with his talent and warm welcome. Can't wait to return again soon.

If you love food this is a must! Second time here and it did not disappoint.
But first, I would like to congratulate the hardworking staff on their first and definitely not the last Rosetta!
Food is on another level. Beautifully presented and every bite gets better. The staff are always attentive and wonderful. Being 6 months pregnant, the chef was very accommodating to each course.
Looking forward to the next visit.

Amazing evening with the tastiest of food. We were lucky enough to taste the December menu which was so delicious, filling and memorable. Each course was meticulously prepared - and watching chef creating the dishes was great. Service is simple, low key, professional and spot on for the setting. Would totally reccommend for a memorable night out.

Really delicious food in a lovely setting with great staff. Loved that the menu offers dairy free options as well as gluten free and vegetarian so it was super easy for me to order a meal- and there were choices!!! Highly recommend
