Zoes Kitchen

Recently went to Zoës Kitchen in Tyler, and it was really good! The guac ("Avocado Smash") was bright and tasty, and I got the Mediterranean Chicken with a Greek salad and turmeric rice. The chicken was delicious. It was white meat, but moist and not dry, and well seasoned. The grilled onions were cooked to perfection--lots of flavor, without being mushily over-cooked. There was a luxuriously chunky tzatziki sauce on the side that tasted exactly right. The rice..omg. Most of the meal had a bright, fresh taste to it. The rice, I can only describe as 'dark' and 'sultry' in flavor. It was an amazing contrast to the other notes of the meal. The portion sizes were 'small 'for Texas. About a half-cup of rice, maybe a half of a breast of chicken. Maybe a cup or cup and a half of salad. Really, the biggest portion of anything that I got was the guac, but that was an appetizer and I imagine it was meant to be shared. That said, I still couldn't finish everything. The meal was rich and satisfying, and filled me up. I don't *need* a chicken fried steak the size of a serving platter (Looking at you, Mary's Cafe). I left Zoë's plenty full. I'll be back.

The clerk at the register was very nice and helpful. I had to wait at least 5 minutes extra after my friend got her food for the salmon kabob which was very dry and overcooked. The Greek salad was a pile of limp romaine that had black on the edges. There was a tiny half of a cherry tomato and half of a small black olive with maybe 2 teaspoons of feta for an extra $1.50. The dressing either hadn’t been shook or was just tasteless. The beans had no flavor. There were 4 pita bread triangles that were delicious. It seems like this restaurant is going downhill if you look at past reviews. I would have asked for my money back but a friend paid for my lunch.

The food here is amazing!! I tried this restaurant last week and was VERY impressed. The food was tasty and just good!! Definitely a Mediterranean classic place to eat. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken, roasted corn and vegies with salsa and pita bread. YUM!!!!!! I'm curious about the kabobs also. I'll definitely be back!!

First time visiting since they first opened, and I was pleased with the customer service as well as the food we ordered. Very fresh and tasted wonderful! Shay was very friendly and helpful in giving us options of different food choices and went above and beyond during our visit here. We will be back :)

This is my favorite place. I love the food so much! But the service I had today was awful. Got here at 7:45pm, they were out of almost the whole menu and the staff was very rude. Disappointed. This review is for the service, not the food. The floor mats were rolled up and leaning on tables. That’s just nasty!

Very tasty meals! Plenty of healthy choice items. I truly enjoyed the food and the service. The gentleman that served my family was phenomenal! Seriously, I was very pleased as I didn't expect that level of service at all. I'm ashamed I didn't remember his name, but I'll never forget how special he made us feel ❤.
