Huckleberry's

The food was delicious! This was our first time here. Best chicken and waffle sandwich I've ever had!! Perfect sweet and savory dish! The biscuits and gravy was delicious as well as the chicken fried steak. Our waitress seemed busy, too busy to stop as we asked for refills, 3 of us had empty cups, 2 wanted more coffee another wanted another iced tea, but only one person had a chance to ask for something while she continued walking by. As we were leaving, we seen 5 servers standing around the register, talking. They didn't seem short staffed, and it didn't seem to busy to provide better service, as there were only 2 other families there. I'd rate the food 9 out of 10 but when it comes to service i received that day, there's room for improvement. I Always say, for a nice tip.... Please keep my cups full and my table clean. (remove empty dishes) If i decide to go again. I hope it will be a better experience as I am only speaking of the service provided by 1 female not on behalf of the whole place. Easy 5 star! Incredible design. So much fun! Menu is so hard to pick from because everything looks so good. As a table we ordered about 10 different plates and they all were incredible from the French toast (regular and stuffed) to the Benedict’s and waffles and everything. Loved my time here. The huckleberry tea was really unique and came with berries in it.

We have been here a few times for breakfast. On a Wednesday, you wouldn’t think there would be a need for a waiting list, but there you go. The wait was about 15 minutes. Not too bad. We were told that this place is always busy. With our experience, I would have to agree. This is a franchise, but it felt homey. The presentation of the food did leave something to be desired. It looked like the food was just slapped into a plate. I’m sure it would be said that it’s because of staff shortages and people waiting. Maybe. It just would be nice have that personal feel.

This place was calm and pretty quiet during lunch time. I was seated quickly and and more order was taken quickly as well. My waitress was very friendly. They were out of fish and they didn’t tell me until I tried to order it. I ordered a burger instead but they used green tomatoes on it which was disgusting. I picked them off and the burger was fine after. Their fries aren’t that great either.

The service was fast and friendly. This was our first time here but they made us feel like regulars. The food was flavorful and delicious. I had the Dixieland Steak Melt. I highly recommend it if you like BBQ. Also, the Swamp Tea was tasty and refreshing. If you haven't been to Huckleberry's, you're missing out.
