The Fly Bar

The Horizon bar and coffee shop doesn't rate the one star, but I felt bad for the girls working there. The coffee is quite awful, no other word for it. We took our first 2 coffees back, a long black and a skim latte as they had no flavour let alone and coffee taste. The grenade ones were not any better. I think the coffee beans they use are of a poor quality. Absolutely no taste, just a cereal taste. Avoid if you can as you certainly will not get your coffee hit at this cafe

Staff are useless, 6am they are yelling to each other. The barista is loudly talking about his sex life and the woman working the till has loudly and repeatedly sung the same line from Grease. Wouldn't be a problem if they werent busy, they didnt even know where half the orders were going. They we slow and ignoring customers. I would sack the lot of them cause like i heard them say several times in the 15 minutes i was there, they did not want to be here. Not a good service at all. Coffee was cold and ordered a ham and cheese toasted sandwhich and the cheese wasnt even melted. Could of thrown it at the girl loudly singing musicals at 6am. Have never been so worked up before a flight! Next time ill use Qantas

It’s not too hard to keep things clean. I understand that airport venues are typically expensive and rhis is no exception. But wow. What a mess.. paper bags, cling wrap, crumbs and spills all over the floor. But worse is that my flight time was not in peak, most tables were free and there was not a single table that had been cleaned. I asked for a cloth and cleaned my own table. Disgraceful

First time here. Just having a quick beer before heading off. Reasonable size and adequate seating. There is a window view. Good selection of beers wines and spirits available, which is very good considering the size of the cafe bar. Food looks very well presented. Prices are what they are, availability is what you are paying for. Friendly customer service. The service was quick. I like the back wall posters. Overall, quite pleasant and is ideal for families or solo travellers for quick bite before the long trip. Ideal alsi to sit down with loved ones prior to saying your goodbyes.
