Bakehouse Bread Co.

A hidden gem! Their bread is delicious! (Though I usually bake my own, it was nice to try and tasted just like homemade bread) What you don't see in the pictures is a frosted Cinnamon roll, my 4 year old couldn't wait lol. The lady working behind the counter was very patient, kind and helpful while my children's eyes got bigger and bigger with each beautiful baked good they noticed as they made their decisions on what treats to take home and try. This was our first visit here and has already turned into a favorite.

A downtown classic, Bakehouse has some of the best breads, pastries and pies available in Troy. Add to that their terrific lunch menu of sandwiches and wraps, and you've got a great place to spend time downtown! If you need something quick, try the chicken salad on cranberry bread. Or if you have a few minutes to relax, try their Bakehouse Club (and ask for a little extra spicy mayo!).

You can see breads being baked in their midsize oven. The Bakery has a nice selection of pastries, but nothing was gluten free in the baked goods selection. They offered sandwiches and have a gluten and dairy free wrap. My vegetarian sandwich was good. I was thankful they at least had sandwiches that are able to be modified into gluten and dairy free versions using a wrap. Thank you!
