I gave this place 5 stars because the service was TRULY the BEST service I've experienced in ANY Asian/ANY restaurant, period - ANYWHERE let alone in the GTA. Ada was handsdown the most attentive, approachable, friendly and professional server I've ever met. I am a CBC born and raised in Toronto and my dad's worked in the Chinese restaurant scene in Toronto for over thirty years before retiring so I know what I'm talking about. I have *never* been to an Asian restaurant where they asked if there were any food intolerances or allergies. Where they told us the common ingredients in what we ordered in case. Where she introduced herself and offered to suggest some items when we were taking our time with the menu. When my mom dropped her chopstick another server instantly came with a replacement pair before she even picked up the dropped one. Derek, another server was also very good, telling us what item he was dropping off at our table, every time and asking us to pardon his reach. The oysters are a MUST try. My dad is hard to please when it comes to eating out and even he was impressed. The chicken skin skewers, honey garlic wings and kolbi beef skewers were my faves. The eggplant was good if that's your thing. The only thing that's not my cup of tea is that the meat skewers are very heavy on cumin and spice which can be preferable especially for northern Chinese tastes. When my dad brought this up to Ada her response was perfect to me, she thoughtfully said she will definitely inform the kitchen on our next visit. I appreciated the design of this BBQ restaurant because the kitchen is in the front and sealed in a way where you don't feel the coziness of the dining area nor any greasiness or smokiness which one might expect but not here! The vibe is Izakaya cause the staff greet you loudly as a team when you're being seated and the decor is Izakaya/cabin-y with witty Chinese rhymes on one side of the walls and chalk art on the other. If you come here for beer and BBQ skewers do yourself a favour and order the oysters. Also say hi to Ada, she's awesome! Happy eating! 😋

I’ve been to this location a few times already and I’ve always had a great experience. Tonight I had an even better experience and this was because of my server Ada. She is extremely kind and helpful. She always made sure my table was doing well and checking if everything was to our liking. I got many different meat skewers and a cheese corn. Always got to get to cheese corn! When I ordered the chicken skin skewer, I wasn’t sure if it would be on the chewy side or crispy side and Ada informed me that they can make it extra crispy if I would like. I didn’t know this! Thank you so much Ada for letting me know and making sure my chicken skin was extra crispy! I loved it!
