River Diner

I've been here at least 8 times in about two months since moving to the area and haven't had a bad experience yet! The service is fantastic, always kind and attentive. I think I've only seen two waitresses here (staffing issues like most places nowadays) but they manage it quite well. Their menu is massive and I haven't had anything yet that I didn't like. I do think their lunch menu is where they really shine though. The onion rings are perfectly crispy, and the sweet potato fries are amazing as well! I got the veggie burger today (pictured) and I loved it! I've been disappointed many times before at other restaurants when ordering a veggie burger. This did not disappoint. It wasn't dry at all and very flavorful and filling. My breakfast recommendation is the Gyro Skillet - can't go wrong with that!

When we walked in seated ourselves, the waitress came to our table within a couple of minutes. Giving us menus & taking drink orders. Actually wasn't busy. Waitress came back with our drinks & took our orders. Food was good with decent portions. Even though it was almost lunch time we both ordered breakfast. Which they serve all day. I think that is awesome. The interior has been redone, the restaurant looks great. We had a nice dining experience.

I am giving one star because it won't allow me to give zero. Today I remembered why we quit coming here. We got 2 burgers that were way over cooked and I even ordered the one rare and the other medium with some pink. They were both well well done. The taste was horrible, not sure what seasoning they are using now but I am having a hard time getting that nasty taste out of my mouth. I would have had better food from McDonald's and I hate McDonald's burgers. Needless to say we put the burgers in the trash, couldn't even give them to my dogs. They ate better than us they had burger King whopper patties. I feel sorry for the waitresses they are the one losing money coming to work there with no customers. The cooks nasty food chased them all away. The wait staff is very friendly and happy to please customer.
