Fox On The Run

I always go here and like the food... But I was so grossed out ! The worker had dandruff all over his hair and it was falling all over his shoulders you could see it all over his black sweater. 🤮 He wasn’t wearing gloves when he made our sandwiches as well. He must of been scratching his head a lot! So gross! I already paid for the food and then noticed it...I’ve never been so grossed out. I will never go here again.

The food I eat from there is really good. I'm a pescatarian, I eat veggies, fish and eggs. So my favs are the egg salad on marble rye and the tuna melt, both are awesome. Tuna melts sell out though so best to call ahead and reserve one for the day. They also have a grilled veggie wrap that I have not tried yet. I would give 5 stars if they had more vegetarian options. I love the soup and salad combos, but find the broth is usually made from chicken stock or there is bacon in the chickpea soup. So I wind up just getting a sandwich. The owner is really nice and so are the staff.

There baking is discount stuff from Superstore. They lie to there customers about being fresh and home cooked. Almost everything they sell is stuff they found for the cheapest price possible, reheated. They do not properly wash anything and have no conscience for food service and the owners have no idea how to run a restaurant. They fired me because I used too much floor cleaner and made an effort to be clean. Which is something they know nothing about. Avoid this place at all costs. Should of paid me what you owed me Ron.

I can’t speak about the main location. My experience was with the burger bar on syndicate. Orders for two people: burger + poutine, and a pogo + fries. Was gross. The oil they use for deep frying must be way beyond its change date. The fries came out almost black, it not a burned black. Black from old dirty oil. As was the pogo. Almost black. The bad oil left a horrible flavour to the food. The burger wasn’t bad, but just a frozen burger, nothing special. The service? The food, packed in standard foam take-out containers, was placed sideways in a paper bag, and handed to us sideways. So all the gravey for the poutine seeped out. Got home. Started eating, couldn’t stomach the fried food because of the grease. Went back with the food and, while the guy who was the supervisor gave me my money back, he was really rude and sarcastic about it, treating me like I was a jerk for telling him the food was not good. Was my first, and definitely my last, experience with Fox on the Run. This location or the other, doesn’t matter.

I honestly don’t understand how they aren’t shut down. The oil is so dirty and gross and the coney dog tasted soggy and gross. I’m talking about syndicate location. Also, just by standing outside and looking in I can see how dirty and gross it is. Please don’t eat here. You’ll probably get very sick.
