Mato Mato

Mato mato is a good place with good vibe. Went through Zomato Gold and got 25% discount on our total bill. The mushroom leek soup and pumpkin carrot soup is something new and delicious definitely you can give it a try if you looking for experimenting. The Vietnamese Chicken Salad was really tasty and the dressing on it was simply perfect. Bang bang chicken is also a must try a bit sweet but more on spicy side. Really a hit. Hot black bean noodles were great too full of exotic vegetables perfectly balanced spice. The butter chicken is sweet but the creaminess is perfect and the chicken is tender, really butter chicken can never go wrong. The tiramisu is simply perfect and definitely their must try. The chocolate raspberry pastry is good too but I like the tiramisu better The NY style cheesecake was kinda disaster, too sour too dry felt the served the stale cheesecake they have. Definitely not worth trying. Service started with a bang at beginning but then slowed down at the main course. The staff was friendly and cooperative. Liked the overall experience.

Good ambience nice restaurant with valet parking. Be prepared to wait for seating and service on weekends as it is packed. There are live DJ and performances. However, if seated in garden area then the adjacent clubhouse music is more prominent. The food is tasty however the portion size is normal and just enough for 2 people. No high chair available for toddlers which was a negative point for me.

The ambience of this place is top-notch. Gives you ample privacy with dim lighting and mellow setting. The open bar view in the center is a refreshing sight to see people work their magic on drinks. We got good discount (thanks to zomato gold) but for the amount of food and drinks we ordered, the price point was quite decent. Food - Wahi huwa punch mocktail - 4/5 Tandoor Paneer Pasandi - 4/5 Paneer was cooked to perfection but it lacked that smoky tandoori aspect to it. Dhingiri Mutter / butter roti - 4/5 This had more smoky flavor to it than starter and that bought out quite a surprising element to this. The taste was great and the presentation was on point.

Food is very good. Butter Garlic prawns were the best I had over the years. Indoor sitting is a bit cramped up due to lack of space. Outdoor sitting is okay, especially in warm humid weather. Few of my cocktail favs were out of stock, so had to choose as per what was available. Service is good. Decor is just fine, not too extravagant. Worth trying once, although would personally prefer rooftop lounges for the ambience!!

However, the Bang Bang Chicken was decent but didn't stand out compared to other restaurants. What sets Mato Mato apart is their outdoor seating arrangement, even during rainy weather, making it an ideal spot for various occasions with friends and family. It's a must-visit place if you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Thane."
