Smoke Monkey Bbq

I ordered the ribs and sliced brisket the ribs were a little bit dry but the brisket was cooked perfectly it fell apart when I would pick up a piece. It didn't have an overpowering flavor of smoke either. I had the potato salad and green beans the potato salad was good the green beans had minced garlic which was different but it was okay. It was my first time here I'll probably come back and try a different dish. That watermelon tea was very good.

$16/ person all you can eat buffet with catfish and shrimp. Includes ice tea or soda, food was great, atmosphere was wonderful. Have plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. Had some musical entertainment tonight playing cover songs of all genres. There is a large play ground for the kids. It was a great time, great food, and relaxing atmosphere, really exactly way we were looking for and needed.

Randomly in the middle of Texas there's a hometown barbeque venue that serves up meals like you're family. I'm sure this could be the story for many parts of Texas but one such part, near Dallas, just off the beaten path is Smoke Monkey. We arrived to a line of hungry locals looking to dine and enjoy the live entertainment while their children played in the huge outdoor playground. The food was delightful. The atmosphere was open, rustic and enjoyable. We especially loved the heated outdoor patio. I ate so much brisket that I had to loosen my pants on the 45 min ride home. No regrets for me though. I'll gladly return and make the same mistake twice.

Smoke Monkey is awesome. I had the catfish and daughter had brisket. They cook the buffet food in small batches and was constantly bringing out the catfish. My daughters brisket was tender with a nice smoke flavor. They have outdoor seating, kids play area and the night we went had karaoke in the barn area. I enjoy the country ambience.
