Loved their pizza! The restaurant uses Caputo flour which is, hands down, the best flour you could ever find. Toppings were fresh and the vegan pizzas were incredibly taste it. Unfortunately, I won't give 5 stars as the service wasn't great since the waitress had a terrible attitude. Lastly, we were sitting in the room above the pizza oven and it was super smokey, hot and we ended up smelling like food once we left.

Diego is the best waiter and manager who really looks after his clientele and is attentive, obliging and just altogether lovely despite being the only one to wait and manage. He is so enthusiastic about .the place and about the Sunday afternoon jazz. The pizza is exceptional and the atmosphere is sublime. It’s a pity you can’t order Mad pizza Darlinghurst pizza via the food delivery guys, despite being on their websites. This needs to be attended to as I ordered from Mad Pizza once before (because of their amazing pizzas) and when I called, Diego said they don’t deliver. Still doesn’t effect my 5 star rating!! :)

A lot of the vibe from the previous Italian owners has carried over under the new stewardship but the food seems to lack that flair & character that made Mad a go to before... Don't get me wrong, the food is generous & wholesome but it just seems to be a bit thin its identity... and subsequently a bit bland. And as an aside... how does a kitchen run out of fettuccine, a staple menu item?

Had a lovely dine in dinner experience thanks to Diego. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. He even made a bespoke Limoncello drink for me which was incredible. I’d highly recommend doing half and half too - I went for the Hot D*mn!! & Otto Bianco. The pizza was cooked to perfection and they were generous with the toppings.
