Went to Bar at Sokyo at the Star last night just after 5 especially for the Tanoshi Hour (happy hour) before going to see Hamilton at the Lyric Theatre. Sat down at the bar and were handed menus which did not include the Tanoshi Hour menu. I asked to have the Tanoshi Hour menu and after a bit of mucking around was told by the waiter that the manager had told him that the Toanoshi Hour was no longer being offered! This is despite the menu appearing on their website and saying Tanoshi hour was from 5 to 7 on weekdays. Just like that! We had deliberately not made bookings elsewhere as the Sokyo website says that bookings are not necessary for the Tanoshi Hour menu and as all the other restaurants were booked out what was supposed to be a special night (our anniversary) ended up being takeaway from one of the fast food places at the Star. Incredibly poor practice. Have checked the website again today and the Tanoshi Hour menu is still up saying that is available!

The food in this restaurant including deserts was phenomenal. Some of the best Japanese food i have tasted since visiting Japan. The bar is great with a great atmosphere. This place is a must visit when coming to Sydney or the Casino. Staff were great. Definitely coming back. 5 Stars for food drinks and atmosphere.
