Pick Up Point

I’m fussy on cheffing standards, and so rarely surprised. But OMG, the pork belly bites here… This place doesn’t look like much, but don’t be fooled. Food-wise, it’s basically umami heaven. Your taste buds are going for a ride. I was also impressed by the chef/owner, who caught me browsing his collection of cookbooks. He very kindly offered to lend me his Fuchsia Dunlop, but I’m not local so politely declined. I complimented him on the pork belly bites, and straightaway he offered me his sauce recipe and his method for cooking the pork. This is unusual; sometimes chefs are happy to share, sometimes they guard their “secrets”, but this guy clearly just loves cooking. Very bright he was too, a definite thinker, but easy to talk to. Deserves to do well. I’ll definitely be back, without hesitation.

The food was amazing!!! I would certainly recommend the garlic and parmesan fries. My husband loved the chicken wings. We all had different burgers and loved each one! The music is rock (an acquired taste - my family liked it). Its £13 for a burger.....which is steep but the quality is definitely there......waiting to see if they take blue light.

The Pick Up Point never disappoints! Such a vibrant addition to Old Town for great food, drinks and vibe. The menu is fantastic for meat eaters and the veggies alike, all options are really tasty you will be craving whatever you order and need go have it again ASAP. Great gin selection which is a win win for me and the Sunday Roasts are fantastic. A definite must have if eating out in Swindon.

Literally the best chicken burger I've ever eaten! All the food was great tbh but this was my fav along with the wings. Nice crunch and very flavoursome. I would highly recommend! The fries stayed hot and the hallumi portion size was great. Although... Avoid the cheesecake rhubarb thing. Both tasted ok/average separately but the rubarb was sour not sweet and the cheese cake was so bland. They also didn't go together at all, we ended up not finishing it. Bit disappointed after such a great meal. Everything else was lush though, will be going back.

FINALLY tried TPUP. WOW. My bf got the Hamburgesa & I got a Royale. Hamburgesa had a BEAUT chorizo jam in it. We switched for a bite of each other’s and it’s just the flavour of the patties! 🤤 AAAAAAMAZING. Such flavoursome, juicy patties. The Royale baconaise was delish!!! The garlic & Parmesan fries were heavenly. The Korean wings we split and the sauce was divine! (We love korean food… and we’re super skeptical of new places after being regulars to KTown - New Malden 👀) but I’m glad we ordered these! The flavour 😍 Then we split the brownie with ice cream, the warm brownie was super gooey and moreish! But it was the lovely staff in the place, so chatty, friendly and just lovely. Highly recommend a visit! The food was insane. Will definitely be frequenting, when we can get a table 👀😂 as their menu changes daily.
