Route 66 Diner

I went for breakfast and my food was horrible!! Nothing had flavor but my french toast. The fried fish had no seasoning and u can taste the freezer on the fish. My salmon patty was still frozen on the inside and had no taste. I ordered home fries with onions and peppers and cheese, not burnt. But I got onions and caned peppers with a few burnt potatoes with that fake can cheese when I asked for American cheese. The ban was so paper thin u can see through it and it crumble like shards of glass. Last but not least the coffee. Tasted just like water!!!! Ugh it was truly a waste of money

Very disappointed! I'm a breakfast lover and I live right around the corner from Route 66 Diner, so I was excited to try it out. I picked up breakfast sandwiches and homefries. First, the food was a bit overpriced. My sandwich (BLT, egg and cheese) was okay but the other sandwich (sausage, egg and cheese) was ruined because the sausage was extremely overcooked, dry and not something my guest wanted to eat. Definitely a let down.

Hubs and I havent been out for breakfast in a long while. And we havent been to 66 in even longer. over 7/8 years to be exact. We moved out of state for a while and havent been since we came back. But we have finally. and the food is just as good as i remember it. Grits are ALWAYS my go too, they are always delish

I've been coming here since I was old enough to hold a fork myself. I love it. I am however upset with how they do their French toast now. It used to be good but I stick to my egg n grits and pancakes now. Nevertheless if you haven't been here yet you're probably a tourist, and if so stop by it is worth it!
