Up 4 Breakfast

While going for florida springs we decided to try this family owned breakfast place. The Decor of the restaurant was amazing and it was beautifully decorated. The walls of the restaurant depicts its history from beginning. The server who came to us was kind and generous and completed all our requests with a smile on the face. To start with we started by coffee. For breakfast we ordered veggie omelet, Banana pancakes, French toast with 2 sausages. Banana pancakes was an amazing dish. It was mouth licking. We believed that french toast was okay and it could have been better. The only disadvantage is that they don't accept cards. They accept only cash. So have cash handy if you decide to visit this place.

I take my breakfast food very seriously. While the gamut of American breakfast choices doesn't run widely, there must be certain minimum expectations: food cooked and seasoned well and served hot. I have only been here twice, with about one year between each visit. I thought it deserved another shot. While not at all busy on a weekday morning, both my wife's and my dishes were served warm instead of hot. The Southern Benny I ordered cooled quickly. The sausage we both received was not properly cooked (soggy without thorough browning). The gravy was virtually tasteless. The biscuits in both our meals were bone-dry and served cold. Our meals were nearly inedible.
