They used to sell on tap beers like Peroni here but when I went here today, they didn’t have it. Aside from that, it is dead quiet and not just that, but a pint of Moretti costs £5. I won’t be coming back here again. Even The Scholars Arms is better than this place and The Scholars Arms is a horrible pub.

Absolutely awful - landlady very rude looked like she was more interested sat at end of bar on phone along with staff. Spoken too as if we should of known rules but with no phone number to contact pub and checking website about children - …

It's a proper pub, comfortable, friendly, lively & loud when I was there. Prices seemed competitive too. Am looking forward to just dropping in again soon.

What a pub… came down for xmas knowing nobody the landlady and mum made us feel so welcome and everyone in there was nice… proper pub run by real people…. I can not speak highly enough of this place

During our weekend break in southampton we called into the lion in Bedford place where the lovely landlady made us really welcome. The music was amazing and the bar prices were really reasonable we will definitely be calling again when we are are in the area thank you for the warm welcome
