Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

This is an average Popeyes branch which I realized is the only branch located somewhat in the East. They have closed down the Popeyes on Tampines and this is the closest one for the folks living in the East. I came by on a weekend and there was a steady crowd coming in periodically, even though the branch was not crowded. Most people will come in, finish their meal and leave, so you will be pretty much guaranteed a seat. There are quite a few teenagers visiting this branch, which is the demographic of the mall with the sports facilities close by. Staff service was alright, nothing to shout about. They were not friendly but not rude either. Just a normal fast food branch with run of the mill service. Food wise, it took a while for the fried mushrooms to be ready, but we were informed beforehand. The chicken was fantastic as usual and their mash potatoes are always a favorite. I will come back to this branch as it is the only branch located in the East.

Nice relaxing ambient with kids and youngsters making up the bulk of the customers. Food quality is good as with Popeyes stores. The portion is just right and somehow the taste and texture are not as oily nor heavy compare to KFC. The best part is their mash potatoes is one of the best among the fast food brands. Fried mushrooms is non oily and huge in size. The main drawback is the staff is very impatient and nonchalant to the point of being unpleasant. Need to improve on the service quality as that is the first point of customer contact.

Takeaway order so can't comment on the cleanliness of the outlet. Generally looked fine. I've had Popeye's before and from other branches. The chicken pieces, chicken tenders and mushroom popcorn were tasteless and dry. The mashed potatoes and fries were decent. Cajun sauce (chargeable/pic) was tasteless and watery. Normal service at the counter. Overall, the family didn't enjoy the meal.

Located on the 2nd floor. Clean & relax environment. Less crowded even on weekends, most restaurants located at 1st floor . Crowded if there big events at Stadium. Price affordable. Food are better than some fast food restaurants. Popular with families and events participants. A walk after or before meal to enjoy good view of the Singapore river.
