Starbucks

Quite a nice place to chill and they allow studying here on a Friday. There was a very friendly female malay staff who served us well. However, there was another staff called Karen, she was extremely rude and impatient with us, even raised her voice at my friend who wanted to find a seat inside before getting a drink. She rolled her eyes when i asked for a cup of warm water and was very unwilling to serve me. Hopefully starbucks can do something about their staff management.

As I read the google reviews, I had come to know of a staff who was infamous for her poor attitude and unfriendliness. I, too, had perhaps come across the aforementioned personnel. I understood that I returned from lunch unexpectedly late while leaving my belongings unattended. I hence complied with this lady staff's instructions, which was given seemingly sarcastically although I had patiently spoken with her. I had tried to be friendly with her even after her angry remarks, as she requested for my check in records, not convinced that I had checked in earlier. Upon showing her successfully, it appeared that she tried to provoke me by asking me to speak louder/come closer etc. I avoided escalating any conflicts as I intended order more food and drinks. I took my belongings back as she instructed, and got myself another seat. As I was intending to purchase more food and beverages by joining the queue, the lady came all the way out of her service counter to confront me as she instructed me to remove my belongings and give it out to the people who came later than me, and are in the queue ahead of me. As I understand that other Starbucks chains do not have the policy of buying drinks before getting a seat, I would believe it is the same for this branch, unless otherwise stated. I would have complied if this lady spoke to me nicely and explained any extra special policy that was not shown at the store but her tone had carried some hostility, which would be considered by most as unprofessional, which could lead to my belief that she had something against me personally. Moreover, there were plenty of seats in the shop to begin with, which I had, once again, tried patiently explaining to her again. The lady ignored my explanation and continued giving a lecture on fairness, a concept she perhaps thought I was unfamiliar with. Only when I decided to stop queuing, had she checked the situation in the store and offered me a seat. At that moment, I was frustrated by the unpleasant experience I had and lost the mood to continue queuing. I had seen that reviews on this aforementioned staff had persisted since several months ago and various customers had experienced my frustrations till date. Will definitely be a Starbucks branch to avoid, unless measures are taken to improve the professionalism of that staff particularly, as I would expect an even more unpleasant experience for customers who might be less patient/in a rush for time.

A very cozy, comfortable and lots of seats on the upper level.The aircon is good too. Place is always keep neat and tidy.However,the barista is not doing a good job as the coffee is not that good too bland,not strong enough.I can say very tasteless sorry to say that,and its so dissappointing.The cakes are good as its during the xmas season so all the cakes are so cutes and taste good too.

Came to this place as we know that this outlet tends to be less crowded than others. There were 9 of us who have not caught up for months - we all ordered drinks (matcha latte, earl grey tea, ice chai latte Frenchy hazelnut macchiato) which were standard starbucks drinks and quality were quite good as usual. The reason for the two stars is that we were told to ‘not make too much noise as other customers are complaining’. We thought this was a weird comment since it seems starbucks here has established itself as a library-like studying place and thus gathering should follow library ethics. Cafe chat noises are standard (as cafes are places for friends to gather, hang out and catch up) and should be tolerated, the staff instead I think should remind the other customers on this.
